TRANSACTIONS IN OWN SHARES

Capricorn Energy PLC (the "Company") announces that, on 13 July 2023, it purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 490/143 pence each (the "Ordinary Shares") through Merrill Lynch International ("BofA Securities"). Such purchase was effected pursuant to the instructions issued by the Company in accordance with the share repurchase arrangements entered into with BofA Securities, as announced on 4 May 2023.

Since 4 May 2023, the Company has purchased 5,030,897 Ordinary Shares for cancellation (this number including all of the Ordinary Shares resulting from the consolidation of ordinary shares of 21/13 pence purchased in advance of 16 May 2023 under the Share Repurchase Programme announced on 4 May 2023), at a cost (including dealing and associated costs) of GBP10,742,966.36.

Following the cancellation of the purchased shares, there will be 143,503,258 Ordinary Shares in issue. The total voting rights in the Company will accordingly be 143,503,258 . This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
