CAE signs two new training agreements in the U.S.
MONTREAL, April 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) - CAE has
been awarded contracts to provide flight training to two U.S. customers for a
total value of approximately US$14 million (C$17 million) over a five- year
period.
For the first contract, the Airbus-CAE training cooperation has been chosen by
Philadelphia-based USA 3000 Airlines to provide training on Airbus A320
aircraft at a number of different North American locations within the
Airbus-CAE worldwide network of training centres.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Airbus-CAE cooperation will provide
initial training for the A320, including the training curriculum, instructors,
classrooms and equipment. The Airbus-CAE cooperation will also provide
simulator time for A320 recurrent training.
Established in 2002, the Airbus-CAE cooperation operates the largest fleet of
Airbus full-flight simulators in the world.
For the second contract, CAE SimuFlite has been selected by the Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA), Aviation System Standards (AVN), Aviation
Training Team (AVN-200), located at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center
(MMAC) in Oklahoma City, OK to provide initial and recurrent training to more
than 150 FAA pilots on a number of different business aircraft, including the
King Air 300, the Hawker 800, the Bombardier Challenger 601 and 604, and the
Bombardier Learjet 60. Training will take place at the CAE SimuFlite and
Bombardier training centres in Dallas, Texas, over a period of five years.
