11/5/2020 07:37 | Hi rivaldo You obviously keep tabs on those mining companies where CAPD have a shareholdigf. Is there any possibility you might post this here... ...or start a new thread with this information in the header please. Obviously respect the fact that having done lots of research you may not be particularly keen to share this information. Kind Regards, Martin | shanklin
11/5/2020 07:30 | Thanks Riv | qs99
11/5/2020 07:29 | Encouraging results this morning from Altus Strategies' exploration programme in Mali - more drilling to come for CAPD: "Steven Poulton, Chief Executive of Altus, commented: "We are very encouraged by the gold intersections from this shallow 70 hole AC drilling programme at the FT Prospect, which was completed by Glomin under our JV. The results include 1.05g/t Au over 12m from 9m and 0.77 g/t Au over 21m from surface and define a potential 200m north-westerly extension to the known mineralised zone. Perhaps most significantly, the results confirm a very high degree of correlation between gold mineralisation and the structures as interpreted from the recent ground magnetic survey. This programme has extended the potential strike of the 2.7km long FT Prospect and indicates that further extensions seem probable. We look forward to updating shareholders on the next phase of work which we anticipate will be an initial diamond drilling programme." Tabakorole Project: AC Drilling Programme The AC drilling was completed by Capital Drilling Limited and consisted of 70 holes for a total of 2,042m. etc" | rivaldo
06/5/2020 13:43 | Thank you gleach23 | shanklin
06/5/2020 12:55 | I'll see if I can get an answer on that from the CFO shanklin | gleach23
06/5/2020 12:13 | Anybody any idea please whether CORA will be obliged to continue to pay CAPD despite the Covid-19 shutdown mentioned? | shanklin
06/5/2020 12:06 | positive RNS from CORA today with regards to CAPD: 'Much of the Tambor target remains to be drilled and this first indication of a consistent gold mineralised system is encouraging. With the Madina target not yet drilled at all and a new additional target now also identified, the team is looking forward to starting work again to build on these initial results.' IMHO. | mfhmfh
06/5/2020 11:28 | Underlying Bid has been chugging away nicely - now up to 56.55p for decent quantity I'll be even happier when stock availability is a bit tighter - currently over 100k available to buy | gleach23
06/5/2020 11:07 | good to see this moving up. good to see x 3 purchases each of >16,000 shares this morning. | mfhmfh
06/5/2020 09:17 | Since that 1m trade the share price has started climbing on relatively small buying, and the spread has closed further. Hopefully the pathway is now clear for a good rise from here. | rivaldo
05/5/2020 10:34 | I wonder if it is Craig Burton selling a few more, the lockup agreement from his last placing of stock expired mid-April. I know it is nitpicking, but I wish the company was a bit more active in picking up blocks of stock like this. 52p must be barely a premium to TBV and, although they will want to be cautious with cash holdings, the CAPD balance sheet has been totally transformed over the last few years. Buying these chunks removes the overhang and at these levels increases shareholder value. If it is Burton selling though, they may feel that buying off a former director would appear to be favourable treatment. However, buying at TBV would get no complaints from me whoever they bought the stock off. | dangersimpson2
04/5/2020 18:04 | Thanks rivaldo...I'd missed that. It's dated today too so I hope you're right. | gleach23
04/5/2020 15:44 | 1m shares just reported through at 52p - and an uptick. Overhang cleared? | rivaldo
30/4/2020 12:48 | Could only get 5k at that price.... ...should have added more lower down albeit I did add some at circa 50p. | shanklin
30/4/2020 12:43 | Looks like nice timing so far shanklin. Fat chance of a SB for me with the current 7p spread... | gleach23
30/4/2020 11:51 | Added a few at 55.75p. | shanklin
30/4/2020 09:53 | For the last 6 months or so it does seem as though there's been a background seller we haven't yet shaken off - may or may not be but share price movements give it that feel. Steady climbs followed by a sharpish retrace. Now with the share price @ 51-58 there isn't even an online price offered for selling 1k versus 37.5k available to buy. Keeping a watching brief for another SB opportunity. | gleach23
30/4/2020 09:23 | Absolutely crazy - down 4.5p on £7k of trades! Looks like MM tricks. CAPD remains terrific value imo: - gold price very high at $1714 - no impact from COVID-19 - single figure P/E - even better value EV/EBITDA - large cash balance - excellent asset backing in cash pile, modern rig fleet and equity investments, including PDI which has six-bagged in the last few weeks - customer base of solid producers rather than more volatile explorers - diversification into mining services - analyst target of 100p | rivaldo
30/4/2020 09:00 | and only 10k traded which I presume was a sell...hence the drop? Am in this for north of £1 as gold price staying high should help keep golders in the money! DYOR | qs99
30/4/2020 08:49 | It's gone from 30p to 60p so a bit of a retrace is normal. | valhamos
30/4/2020 08:46 | This ongoing selling is a bit of a pain... ...and unless something has changed, quite difficult to understand. | shanklin
28/4/2020 13:11 | On the recent results call I asked them if they were still open for drill-for-equity business, given that they point out that market capital may be in short supply for juniors in the current climate. The answer was along the lines of a cautious yes. Normally I'm not a big fan of companies investing in the equity of others, but in this case it makes a lot of sense: it helps win the drill contracts and they have their ear to the ground (literally) to know which companies are serious, quality outfits and which ones are chancers. | dangersimpson2
28/4/2020 11:03 | Thank you rivaldo | shanklin
28/4/2020 10:40 | In most cases CAPD's investment gets them the drilling work too - I'm sure we've established that in the past from available public info. There may of course be exceptions. And presumably it's possible/likely that CAPD are already doing the drilling for PDI too. I haven't seen anything to contradict this, but might have missed it? | rivaldo
28/4/2020 09:46 | So, CAPD takes positions in companies for which it is not actually doing any work? Hadn't realised this. I had previously it was a bit of a quid pro quo for them winning mining contracts, so that if a drilling campaign was successful, CAPD shared in the upside nd if it wa unsuccessful, CAPD copped some of the downside. Obviously I was wrong. At least they seem quite good at this investing malarkey. | shanklin |
