28/4/2020 09:23 | I agree the value to CAPD should be compounded by being involved in future drilling programs with PDI. | mfhmfh
28/4/2020 09:10 | hxxps://www.investi. More on that nice find Rivaldo. Good thing is this I would imagine gets them in on the drilling programs. | deanowls
28/4/2020 09:07 | Very good news rivaldo - thanks for posting | gleach23
28/4/2020 09:01 | Riv that is a great find, thanks. Wonder where PDI share price could go from there then, double again and you start to get some meaningful cash to CAPD... | qs99
28/4/2020 08:57 | Indeed - around £3.2m to CAPD at current exchange rates. A rather large bonus :o)) CAPD have another 10 or so of these investments on their books from my records. With the gold price at its current high levels it's quite possible there will be more of these bonuses, though PDI is the only one so far that's surged in value like this. | rivaldo
28/4/2020 08:41 | rivaldo Nice find. So worth about £3.2m less any tax payable? | shanklin
28/4/2020 08:33 | Amazing news for CAPD from Australia. CAPD own 90m shares in Predictive Discovery Ltd (PDI), quoted on the ASX, i.e 14.69% of the company. PDI have had rather good exploration results recently. And their share price has exploded. So in the last 3 weeks. CAPD's holding has gone from being worth around A$0.9m, to its current A$6.3m..... This alone backs up a rather nice portion of CAPD's £80m m/cap. It's all explained here: "One of 2020’s biggest success stories is Africa-focused gold explorer Predictive Discovery (ASX:PDI). It rose from 0.5c to 6.9c following strong exploration results. And Mauritius-domiciled drilling firm Capital Drilling bought 30 million shares at 0.5c each, which cost it $150,000. But now that purchase is worth $2.1m and Capital Drilling’s total 90 million share package is worth over $6m. Every shareholder’s dream." Take a look at the one month chart for PDI... | rivaldo
27/4/2020 11:22 | all helps....thanks for posting Riv.....also nice to see other gold related stocks I own such as SRB and HUM finally start to move.... | qs99
26/4/2020 00:04 | Mark Watson-Mitchell updated on Friday night on Master Investor: "Capital Drilling (LON:CAPD) – still very undervalued The price of gold is only about $150 away from hitting its peak of $1917.90 achieved way back in August 2011. Such strength is good news for the clients of this mining services group, with some 90% of them in the hunt for the precious metal. The group has been picking up more long-term contracts and its fleet utilisation rates are on the increase. Operating remotely in the African markets, the company’s operations have not been interrupted by Covid-19. The growth of its business in West Africa together with a widening of its service offer will produce further opportunities for growth. I remain totally confident in the potential of this company and still consider that its shares are significantly undervalued, even at the current 58p. They went as low as 29p just over a month ago, and my target price is 100p." | rivaldo
23/4/2020 16:26 | yes looks like it, hopefully lots more "hay" to be made by gold miners, allowing them to plough more money into exploration/drilling with CAPD!!! | qs99
23/4/2020 15:31 | 'Expect gold to overtake the 2011 peak of $1,925 per ounce over the upcoming months.' | mfhmfh
22/4/2020 21:49 | hxxps://markets.busi | mfhmfh
22/4/2020 12:56 | Hold many of these. For years underwater, but steadily adding for last 10 weeks.. Now breakeven... Outstanding potential here. Short term 80p target. Dyor | insideryou
22/4/2020 12:44 | Costs must have really come down with the low oil price. | mfhmfh
22/4/2020 12:29 | been a while since this has been on the leader board! Great stuff and hope you are well Riv | qs99
22/4/2020 11:46 | CAPD continues to look good value to me - and Tamesis Partners' target price is 100p. The P/E is only around 9 or 10. The gold price is at multi-year highs. The company has high asset backing in the form of a set of modern rigs, plus a large cash pile. It's suffered no virus impact, and is primarily focused on already-producing gold miners rather than explorers. And it also has a load of investments in other gold miners to add further to the asset backing. | rivaldo
22/4/2020 11:10 | fingers xd the damn has burst!! | qs99
22/4/2020 11:06 | :o)) I'm guessing there's not much available.... | rivaldo
22/4/2020 10:20 | I shall say nothing about stock availability limits today... | gleach23
22/4/2020 10:18 | Looks like the dam has burst..... | rivaldo
21/4/2020 09:08 | I'm surprised this is not rising when so many other companies/industries are reporting negative Covid-19 impacts but CAPD are not. | mfhmfh
21/4/2020 08:54 | Gold is back up to $1,700. Plus big CAPD client CEY announced a good quarterly update this morning, with production completely unaffected. | rivaldo
17/4/2020 12:38 | gleach23 I still think CAPD is cheap and added a few more yesterday. | shanklin
17/4/2020 12:38 | Yes shanklin...those 60k shares sold @ 50.66p changed the picture somewhat...ggrrr Can still sell 25k above 50p so demand is still there currently | gleach23 |
