Ioxus was sold ahead of Cap-XX winning the patent infringement case against it. Despite obtaining judgement nearly a year ago I understand Cap-XX are still pursuing payment.

A cynic might view this as a Tesla tactic to get Cap-XX to settle ahead of the next court hearing in September. The case is against Maxwell and will follow it to new owners, but this move might allow Tesla to sidestep the embarrassment of a legal defeat and profile damage if it failed to make payment.

Not good news for Cap-XX finances, not good for the share price, and a sad reflection on the patent system.

The idea suggested a few weeks ago that Cap-XX put these matters in the hands of third party win-fee litigators and debt collectors looks like a good one, Cap-XX needs to concentrate on the business.

So who do CPX go after now, Maxwell no longer exist, Tesla will say nothing to do with them anymore and UCAP will no doubt say potential infringements were prior to them taking on Maxwell directors.

Do CPX drop the case or continue which is no doubt costing tens of thousands solicitors fees.

Could turn out to be another Loxus.

Be interesting to see if Kongats tries to steady the ship or is announcements reserved for an additional product to distributors which was meaningless.

Not sure on the legalities of selling a company that's being sued for copyright infringement. Anyone more knowledgeable could shine some light on this? Does CAP-XX continue to sue Maxwell when it was under ownership of Tesla / sue just Tesla / sue Maxwell under the new ownership deal?

TeslaQ twitter abuzz with rumour Tesla selling Maxwell back to its former execs.

Tesla going to keep the "dry electrode" tech for its battery cells. I've never got to the bottom of what exactly the claimed patent breach was, so not sure how relevant this is to Cap-XX

Not worthy of an rns but news quietly from Cap-XX that it has been selected to provide supercapacitors to RGM SpA who I think are an Italian supplier of automotive parts. This time for its high voltage series-linked cylindrical capacitors which capture energy from regenerative braking and supply instant power boost on demand, the rapid charging and power cycling are a sought after component of EV powertrains.

Technology which seems to be finding a wide range of applications and reporting a steady stream of sales, but the share price struggling. Waiting for good news about its patent disputes?

The Co. on existing metrics was always ahead of events - however, the prospect of rising revenues, improved margins and the hope factor associated with potential proceeds from a number of legal matters made this an appealing speculative punt.

On that note, I observe that despite having won one case and suggested that there would be an update on enforcement/recoverability, we have not heard anything. The Co. needs to clarify what efforts have been made to recover sums due and/or if that hope has now evaporated. NO point pursuing a case if you can't recover any money from the counterparty.

Separately, if they are intending to raise funds by way of a placing, they should have got on with it by now - a dwindling shareprice is not helpful if a raising is contemplated.

Where you getting those figures from. Didn’t say he never wanted to manufacture as they have manufactured from the start he didn’t have any ambitions to become a major supplier to OEM’s
