Morning rampers! I shoulda bought at the open when I saw it wasn't moving, in late on the 14p breakout fomo, which means it will definitely crash. In the lifetime ISA, gonna forget about it and hopefully wake up rich one day. GLA!

Think the potentail here is incredible. This stock's main downside is that someone like Murata might take it out at a price of 25-30p. As the share price rises to 14p today and looks strong with good momentuem that is looking to be a definite possibility. Certainly hope not! I intend to hold and keep topping up. I have just put in a big order at 13.75 which is by far the biggest price I have ever paid. Not looking very likely at the moment. Still I live in hope.

It has been found that Samsung Electronics is using batteries supplied by Samsung SDI and Murata Manufacturing in its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8. The batteries have a capacity of 3,300 mAh and those from Samsung SDI account for 80% of the total supply.

Murata Manufacturing acquired the battery business unit of Sony last year. It is currently leading the global multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) market.

Samsung SDI and Murata Manufacturing take the place of ATL, a Chinese battery supplier. ATL worked with Samsung Electronics for over 10 years, supplying its products for the Samsung smartphones including the Galaxy Note 7.

According to industry sources, the replacement was because of the explosions of the Galaxy Note 7. Samsung Electronics announced in January this year that defective batteries caused the explosions, saying that welding projections were abnormal, insulating tapes were not attached, and separation membranes were too thin.

After the scandal, Samsung Electronics adopted a stricter quality control process for smartphone batteries. The company is planning to keep using batteries supplied by Murata Manufacturing instead of ATL for its high-end phones to follow the Galaxy Note 8.
