03/8/2010 16:48 | wendy why dont you wait to see what resource will be owned by the company before jumping to conclusions. If you are as smart as you like to think you are this would be obvious to you. What is your agenda here? | zaitoon
03/8/2010 16:46 | Zaitoon, i agree, they look to have placed stock at 0.005p. Thats the lowest placing i have ever seen... saffy.. | safman
03/8/2010 16:44 | no misprint it is at it says. | zaitoon
03/8/2010 16:44 | That is a little confusing, but the entire RNS follows that pattern. The ORD is 0.1p, half of that 0.05p and 1/10th of that 0.005p! They'll need a cap reorg.. saffy.. | safman
03/8/2010 16:38 | As i see it Legla. | waldof
03/8/2010 16:38 | looks like a mistake in rns: Subscription for 3,100,000,000 Ordinary Shares of 0.005p each at 0.005p per share and than: The Company has entered into a Subscription Agreement pursuant to which it will raise £155,000 before expenses by the issue of Ordinary Shares at par. so isn't it 31,000,000 share of 0.005p = 155k Any comments? | legia1916
03/8/2010 16:34 | redimp, they cannot offset tax in a shell that has changed direction i.e. Telecoms to Resources. You can only offset the losses in the same category..i.e. if they reversed into telcos. Shareholders wiped out, i can see a few other stocks following that trend.. saffy.. | safman
03/8/2010 16:31 | LTi, yes. Looking at early Sept for a significant revelation and a brand new jv deal. Yes, there will be share dilution but the rewards will outweigh. That £5m tax offsetting facility is going to be mighty handy to start with. Placees will be in at under a penny for a 6 week multibagger. The Kitwell/Killik crew and clients will be filling up. | redimp98
03/8/2010 16:27 | I did warn you.. diluted out of existence... saffy.. | safman
03/8/2010 15:35 | Think we are looking after close for the next RNS then trading will resume after general meeting(I am sure this will be detailed in doc) to pass all the resolutions. REGARDS THE HOOT......... | hootster
03/8/2010 14:54 | Redimp your bang on there give it 4 to 6 weeks and you will get the true picture .it will be interesting to see what price the new places get it will give you a indication of the opening price . | ltinvestor2
03/8/2010 14:53 | They can still offset the losses even though it is different sector as it is essentially the same company. Well done for all those who held the shares. | share_cruise
03/8/2010 14:46 | Redimp, can they claim those tax loses back from activities in a totally different sector?? Not so sure on that one at all but it would be nice if they could. | keya5000
03/8/2010 14:36 | Interesting little snippet extracted from the Annual Report ... ""Unrelieved tax losses of approximately £5.1million (2009: £5.1 million) remain available to offset against future taxable trading profits."" Plugging the antimony angle so a bunch of related parties stock up on a cheap placement share price Give it one month and, oh golly gosh, look what we've found... | redimp98
03/8/2010 14:31 | All coming together nicely it would seem. The ones who should be ashamed of themselves with their posting's of doom and negativity will be eating large slices of humble pie shortly. | keya5000
03/8/2010 14:19 | Ad Doc on the way later today. Read into it and interpret the prospects. I would not be at all surprised to hear of a big jv announcement within one month, based on initial drill data. | redimp98
03/8/2010 14:11 | extract from the first rns: "Outlook The Board believes that rare minerals will become an increasingly economically important sector and that the proposed acquisition of the antimony business will provide Canisp with the basis to build a new resource based business. At the forthcoming annual general meeting a resolution will be proposed to change the name of the Company to Tri-Star Resources plc" i like this phrase and please takenote of it as this is only the beginning: "...the proposed acquisition of the antimony business will provide Canisp with the basis to build a new resource based business..." with emphasis on 'provide Canisp with the basis to build a new resource based business' this is a very long marathon race, sprinters take note... | solaking
03/8/2010 13:56 | New name translates to Three Yildiz antimony mining Ithalet and Ihracat industry and trade Sirketi incorporated. Looks like something worth talking about here coming soon. | riggerbeautz
03/8/2010 13:52 | Michael Hirschfield, Canisp's Executive Chairman, commented:"The Board believes that rare minerals will become an increasingly economically important sector and that the proposed acquisition of the antimony business will provide Canisp with the basis to build a new resource based business, and looks forward to making a further announcement in respect of the Proposed Acquisition later today." Annual General Meeting Notice is given that the annual general meeting ("AGM") of the members of the Company will be held at the offices of Fladgate LLP, 16 Great Queen Street, London, WC2B 5DG on Thursday 26 August 2010 at 11.00am. The AGM Notice, form of proxy and annual report and accounts will today be posted to all shareholders, and will shortly be available to be viewed or downloaded from the Company's website at www.canispplc.com. *The full name of Tri-Star is Üç Yildiz Antimon Madencilik Ithalet Ve Ihracat Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi. www.canispplc.com Looks like its time to get the reading glasses out guys!! Regards | ditb13
03/8/2010 13:50 | yes deal news to follow today | zaitoon
03/8/2010 12:08 | stevow: whatever you think about africa or nigeria in your last post is biased against africa. check the records, western countries that invest in nigeria make greater money and have more control than anywhere esle in the world. check the records. redimp: how are you? please i am still waiting for the name of the next cash shell you are looking at/about to look into. cheers, SK. | solaking
03/8/2010 11:36 | It is the growth potential in TriStar which gives excitement for the second deal, rather than the comparative mcaps of Canisp and Sirius. Watch out for AD refs to potential of mineral vein intersects, with particular mention of precious metals. Some huge figures are being mooted by "related parties." Antimony, which constitutes the present deal on the table, is a side issue Hours remain before we can see. Repeat..do not sell on re-open. Await initial drill data and what follows on from those findings. | redimp98
03/8/2010 10:15 | The whole point IS the 300k is just the first deal. The second deal will be much more substantial. Some of you guys can't see beyond the end of your noses. | rich80 |
