03/8/2010 08:50 | I dont believe for a second that TriStar will have a larger total M/C than SRSP in the coming years but It's very possible that the M/C growth of TriStar will increase at a greater rate than SRSP. Just have to wait until we know some more information about the mine before trying to work out future company growth. Plus I would rather deal with the Turkish people and Government, atleast with them joining the EU it helps safe gaurd TriStars rights in the future. | stevow
02/8/2010 20:56 | Ariana 2 and more from TriStar? Extract from today's RNS........ Highlights * Gold-equivalent intersections of 12.28 g/t over 2m, 4.59 g/t over 14m and 3.31 g/t over 11m. * Peak gold-equivalent grade of 23.12 g/t over 1m. * Significant mineralisation intersected on all holes drilled. * Exploratory drilling in area under cover between Arzu South and Derya intersects buried vein system. Dr. Kerim Sener, Managing Director, commented: "These results underpin the integrity of the resource at the Kiziltepe deposit. Apart from intersecting mineralised quartz vein in every hole - a flawless 'hit-rate' - the gold and silver grades encountered are robust and demonstrate economic potential. It is also important to note that while many of the holes were drilled to increase drill-data density, several purely exploratory holes drilled on Derya also yielded significant mineralised and wide true-width intercepts." "This is especially important given these holes were collared in an area of little or no vein outcrop and were drilled on geophysical targets. Based on these results, we are now confident that a vein system is fully developed between the Derya and Arzu South veins, which could add another 580m of mineralised strike to the deposit. The improvement of grade in this area indicates that there is now scope to increase the size of the resource through further drilling of these vein extensions. This discovery represents a very positive start to our Joint Venture with Proccea Construction Co. and justifies further drilling in this area this season." Details of Programme A field team from the Company's Turkish operating subsidiary, Galata Madencilik San. ve Tic. Ltd. Sti., supervised the completion of twenty-six RC drill holes (114.3 mm diameter) on the Banu and Derya veins. The holes reported in this release totalled 1,853m of drilling. The holes were drilled to depths of between 48m and 96m metres from surface and angled at 55-60 degrees along a 250m section of vein strike-length along Banu (Figure 1), and 400m along Derya (Figure 2). Quartz veins, mineralised "halos" around the veins and stockwork were located in all twenty-six holes drilled in this programme. Selected intersections are given in Table 1 below. The Banu and Derya veins have strike lengths of 750 and 650m respectively. Both have consistent, potentially economic grades extending from the surface to depth. Similar to the vein systems developed at Arzu North and South, both veins appear to have a mineralised "halo" of lower grade material developed in places. This low grade "halo" consists of moderately altered volcanic rocks of dacitic composition containing minor stockworks. The "halo" style of mineralisation is being modelled in the revised resource estimate and has the potential to add to the mineable tonnage and to decrease the effective strip-ratio of the modelled open pits. | redimp98
02/8/2010 20:50 | The big mystery for us all is how is it possible that a remote Turkish mine in the Gediz desert, with seemingly a few bucketloads of antimony, holds greater potential than a new producing oily in the prolific Niger delta. | redimp98
02/8/2010 20:45 | The main oil man for SRSP is Hayward. He was the one responsible for setting up Afren, which has had much success in Nigeria with the Ebok field. With Hirschfield brought in as the money man, they found themselves in the right place at the right time. Events combined to present a perfect opportunity to develop their oil connections through privateers Taglient, Frontier, Dajo, Del Sigma. All were involved with the redistribution of leases previously held by major oil Companies who were experiencing difficulty, not due to lack of oil but protests from Nigerian militants who wanted production to be in the hands of Nigerian nationals. Along came DPR, and then another piece of good fortune was the coming of the new President Goodluck Jonathan, with Sambo as VP, both keen to get things moving in the Niger delta. The mixture of good luck, timing, contacts, oil expertise (Hayward), financial expertise (Hirschfield) will ensure this one hits the radar in sharp style. And for those holding Canisp, you may be wondering why MH is reported as being more excited in TriStar than Sirius!! (Copied from SRSP bb) | redimp98
02/8/2010 20:29 | Liam is not handling SRSP, and he said there was no connection with Canisp as far as he was aware. | redimp98
02/8/2010 17:06 | agreed, sirius shouldnt be much longer so i have heard. | share_cruise
02/8/2010 16:51 | Thanks SC. The recent developments in Nigeria look very exciting for SRSP at the moment | keya5000
02/8/2010 16:37 | Keya i did not ask about SRSP as I believe it is also Liam and james who deal with them also. | share_cruise
02/8/2010 16:33 | Glad they have not gone away for two weeks! SC did you ask them about SRSP whilst you had them on the phone? | keya5000
02/8/2010 16:33 | Off on their annual jolly to Margate. Doesn't matter if they're in or out, as they never answer my mails. | fightback999
02/8/2010 16:32 | well done share_cruise for the effort. then most likely they may not even release it tomorrow either, except someone else have gone through the AD on their behalf IMO. just a thought, sodon't be surprised if it drags on week long, unlikely though. cheers, SK. | solaking
02/8/2010 15:51 | just rang the strand hanson office and liam buswell is away on holiday, returning tomorrow, same goes for james harris so no-one dealing with canisp at the moment so not too likely that we will get the RNS today. | share_cruise
02/8/2010 15:32 | Fightback afaik it is now with strand, could try calling them asking when the report will be released? | share_cruise
02/8/2010 15:25 | Yep, Here we again second guessing the SSS. Strand Secret Service. They'd love to tell u what's going on but would have to kill you in the process! | fightback999
02/8/2010 15:07 | business as usual here then.... | tyche123
02/8/2010 13:16 | it is an education reading what you have to say redimp. It makes me realise the tosh that gets written not only here but on all BBs. | zaitoon
02/8/2010 12:31 | Drilling report + poss deal 2 announcement end August/ early Sept. Buy on open or on any retrace from 1p. Look at the placement details for evidence of bootfilling before the real news breaks later. | redimp98
02/8/2010 12:03 | Any sensible thoughts on news this afternoon. Hoot said latest Monday, but I don't want to hold him to this knowing how Strand drag their heels! | fightback999
02/8/2010 09:03 | News Imminent. Bumhug, he who laughs last, laughs longest. Just a thought! | fightback999
02/8/2010 08:17 | kevin, maybe news two weeks away? :-))) | humbugg
02/8/2010 08:06 | Lol, Humbugg :-)) | kevin1962
02/8/2010 07:53 | well well it all went off on this thread last night. very amusing. :-))))))))) | humbugg
01/8/2010 23:39 | Unbelievable the amount of rows going on here. This is a suspended share and I can't imagine the chaos it will create if it does come back from suspension. No wonder redimp98 has been hopping around somewhere else to spout his own bs.No bashing intended here just being nosey how redimp98 is performing with his swings!!!;-) | down_under
01/8/2010 23:06 | God some people need to be blocked to clean up this board, we really should keep this to tri-star. Lets hope strand were not in friday mode and didnt get through the full document which will mean it wont get released tomorrow, or it will just get passed through with many mistakes like the past few RNS's weve had. Good night all and hopefully all will be revealed tomorrow | share_cruise |
