28/12/2016 07:53 | this is a play, now, on whether OPL226 is commercial, which will require appraisal well/s, probably not until h2 2017.....although, I think they have to drill something before Sept 2017..... also, whether a 2nd well will be drilled at LB-13....depending on what the conclusion of the 3D Seismic vs 1st well results determine.....did they just interprete it wrong, was the seismic inaccurate? ...or is the block just devoid of hydrocarbons? | deanroberthunt

27/12/2016 09:38 | October 2016 OPL226 valuation from Edison. In an earlier post regards OPL226. I had not considered the possibility of COPL farming down their 40 interest in OPL226 which could be a viable option.Mr K."Assuming COPL farms out its equity interest in exchange for a development cost carry through to first oil, we estimate that net working interest would fall from 40% to 15.5% (farminee requiring a 20% IRR). Including cost-carry increases the net value per barrel, which rises from US$2.43/bbl to US$4.6/bbl reflecting the cost carry, partially offsetting this reduction in working interest."http://www | mrkeysersoze

25/12/2016 11:10 | in one of the interviews Arthur the ceo states two canadian institutions hold just a bit less than 40%. 6:48 in i still believe the billions of barrels showed by the seismic ARE THERE I know nothing but i would guess there is more accuracy in seismic data and their computer analysis than in the mecanics of drilling a hole. They may have missed by a little fraction i speak knowing nothing, does my idea make sense? In other words, how sophisticated the mechanical technology of drilling is? happy xmas to all the soon to be COPL millionaires | ffaffaa

23/12/2016 13:38 | lith, There was no chance of the West Saturn staying on block LB-13 to drill another well. There is a hell of a lot of planning & logistics involved in drilling deep water offshore. There are 3 phases as per the PSC phase one Seismic work, phase two one x exploration well, phase 3 one x exploration well. COPL & EXXON will evaluate the logs from Mesurado-1 first, then re-evaluate the other prospects on LB-13. They have 30 days to notify NOCAL of their intentions as per the PSC, they can seek an extension if needed & agreed by NOCAL. Mr K. | mrkeysersoze
