Steelwatch,

I think your moderating duties may have been, unfortunately tested of late, this is partly caused by myself. Please accept my apologies.... I simply stated on the Kibo board with which I have been invested for a considerable time, purely for transparency , that I had chosen to reduce my holding, as such a number of undesirable posters have chosen to attack my integrity & stalk me. It isn't to hard to work out the posters in question.

regards,

Mr K.

Normal settlement is working day 3 after a trade(T). T20 is settlement 20 working days after trade, i.e. T+20. Provided your broker advances credit, you can buy and potentially close before settlement day without needing to stump up any capital, other than commission and stamp where applicable. T20 is the longest delayed settlement period. You keep any profit or must have sufficient funds to cover any loss on closing.

Richard,

T20 is a facility that some brokers offer for investors on a credit basis, whereas, if you have no money & wish to effectively take a punt on a stock, they will allow you to open a position with terms attached i.e. T20 = 20 trading days to settle, you either pay fully for the position, or sell the position & either pocket the gain or loss. A risky way to trade IMO, but each to their own....

MrKeysersoze,

Thanks for your valuation post 928, which is clearly based on industry knowledge. As a layman to oil industry earnings valuation, can I ask a question.

I'm starting out from the capex and opex cost per barrel. The total for 305m bls is I think $549m. Production assumed is a gross to COPL of 305m bls, which gives a capex/opex cost per barrel of $1.8. Have I missed somthing here? This is lower than I had expected for offshore production.

This could be a very tight hole in the event of a discovery with 2 recently released blocks up from grabs.

this is my only 2nd post on here, Exxon are only drilling in about 6 or 7 places worldwide at the moment so they're trying to be very specific where they do drill in this economic climate, was told of 3 places they had high hopes for and this was the 2nd, i agree theres no certainty they will hit but knowing Exxon they've done every test bar the drill which they're doing now. So choosing this well to drill fills me full of confidence.
