05/8/2019 09:44 | Guys, We're not a minority partner in shorecan. We've a 50:50 split with Shoreline. Shorecan have 80% of 226. Of course COPL are the much smaller company than either Shoreline or Essar but are not minor partner in 226. Regards, Ed. | edgein
03/8/2019 16:14 | dave19w- yes sorry for getting percentages wrong. While we are a JV- one part is in a stronger position in terms of nationality, connections, financial clout etc. Obviously if exercised well such a connection could be great for COPL but dependsI suppose on relationships etc. COPL might be under pressure to keep stum on the key issues. Who knows but while a 50:50 venture we are the ‘smaller part’. So COPL have to play a waiting game. | smcl
03/8/2019 15:01 | Hi SMCL that was why I asked. I thought somehow I had missed a trick on the JV percentages there. It is equal. Lots to look forward to here if we can get some good news out before any placings etc. it does feel very close to being sorted now. I see why people are having less faith though. If my time frames are correct shoreline should have soon the service provider sorted. That’s a complicated deal so takes time. The annoying thing is the PB which actually maybe sorted but they haven’t told us. I can’t think why they wouldn’t. But when the share price crashed due to false rumors of licenses being revoked etc I was peeved that they didn’t issue an RNS to say it was rubbish. I have seen other companies squash rumors via RNS with good results. So why not us. It seems that copl feels they don’t need to play that game. Which maybe is confidence. Or perhaps arrogance. | dave19w
03/8/2019 11:48 | Hi Jamie Apologies. I may have got the percentages wrong. We have a 50:50 share in Shorecan the JV between COPL and Shoreline. Shorecan have an 80% share in OPL 226 where we have a 40% share. So I am assuming both parties to Shorecan have a 40% share. The difference is in JV responsibilities. COPL provide operational technical and other services. Shoreline provide local financial legal administrative and other services. I re read the documents on the website. Sorry to all for my error earlier. Open to any comments. Thanks | smcl
02/8/2019 23:36 | 40% is ours. | jamie414
02/8/2019 18:54 | What’s the split with shoreline? | dave19w
02/8/2019 18:27 | Disappointing that we have had no news. We’re the minority shareholder in Shorecan - this maybe complicates how quick COPL can ‘push the agenda’. We’re dependent on others within the JV. Always a complicating factor. Anyway hope JV relationships are good. Best Regards- enjoy weekend all | smcl
02/8/2019 17:15 | A chartist once said that is a bullish thing. Then they said something like it’s an uncrossing cross in a convent pattern. Always lost on me. | dave19w
02/8/2019 16:57 | What a strange day :/ moved up and down on nothing then ends green. | jamie414
02/8/2019 16:41 | did we end green??? or blue ?? LOL''stuck in the middle ''strange indeed'' GLA | livup967

02/8/2019 16:09 | Liv, fingers crossed, potential for news on Monday or next week, how far can Art and those Nigerians draw this one out? Definitely hopefully our patience will be rewarded by some alt F and a liftoff if the terms are good. Regards, Ed. | edgein
02/8/2019 16:02 | LOL'' it's hard work i know'' and the only cure is time and patience buys are catching up THO' could finish green here is hoping. | livup967
02/8/2019 15:40 | Liv, I'm gonna have to plead the 5th Amendment on that one fella! None of us are getting any younger unfortunately but hopefully Art will hopefully make us more wealthy. :) Come on Art us weekend quarterbacks need something to discuss! Regards, Ed. | edgein
02/8/2019 09:39 | another one of those buys should push us back up in theory anyway LOL' here's hoping GLA | livup967
02/8/2019 08:48 | Jamie, Yes true, the size of the last placing of around £500k did suggest things much be close as previously they'd raised enough for at least 6 months rather than about 6 weeks. I've been tempted to add more too but holding back at the moment. Wouldn't dream of selling any down here, but then I'm happy enough with the risk reward. Clearly the riskiest in my porty but upside for miles if Art secures the alt f let alone the PB. Regards, Ed. | edgein
02/8/2019 08:23 | here comes that seller every FCUCKING morning an orchestrated big dump to hold price back just as we got going LOL'' but for how long. thats the question | livup967
01/8/2019 22:33 | Jamie, Been to Africa a few times. Agree with you on speed with which things get done- even very basic things. It’s obviously a truism but investments are risky- perhaps more risky here. I’m mildly optimistic for reasons you state. Anyway let’s see shortly. | smcl
01/8/2019 21:09 | I think they over estimate on when cash runs out just incase. However I can’t see anything else but alternative finance, otherwise why such a small placing last time when he could have EASILY raised more. | jamie414
01/8/2019 20:33 | interesting to see no late reported dump .. concidering they must be out of cash now , I dot see any forward selling into strength .... may be alt finance exists afterall.? | kcowe
01/8/2019 19:48 | Not the worst day...bought some more this morning.I'm sure we have bottomed now on this retrace. Back up we go!I don't know if any of you have been to Africa before? Especially sub saharan Africa.Nothing gets done quickly! I'm still waiting for the beer I ordered and that was 5 years ago! Trying to get to drill an oil field :/ it's taken time! I don't believe for one minute that the Company are not doing all they can to get going.I believe patience shall be rewarded. | jamie414 |
