21/12/2021 11:35 | Divi is in my ii account this morning | ramellous
20/12/2021 19:49 | Hmmm ... that seemms pretty p### poor. My broker is (strictly cheap and cheerful) DeGiro. Divis are always credited pretty quickly. Delay is never more than a business day or two at worst. Usually, it's less. | saltraider
20/12/2021 16:02 | Update from ii (under corporate actions tab) to say it can take 10 working days from Dec 15 pay date for cash to appear in account although there can be delays "in some circumstances." | strategic trout
19/12/2021 11:53 | Haven’t got mine with ii | ramellous
17/12/2021 10:59 | Thanks Saltraider | strategic trout
17/12/2021 10:57 | Dividend was credited to my account yesterday (16th)... UK-listed shares. | saltraider
17/12/2021 10:53 | Anyone received the December dividend yet? Or does it only apply to the Toronto-listed shares, not the UK ones? | strategic trout
08/12/2021 08:07 | Yep, I know, but just shows how the NAV was back up to 29.2% discounted this morning. | tonytyke2
08/12/2021 08:03 | tt, That's the tightest discount for many a year. The closing price in Canada translates to about £26. | tiltonboy
07/12/2021 23:05 | What a weird/interesting trading day today, let me know your thoughts....... CGI = 0% market move today, no thoughts of the underlying investments? CGI - Top 6 underlying investments performance today with some massive upside moves: 1) Nvidia UP 7.96% 2) Shopify UP 9.6% 3) West Fraser Timber UP 2.2% 4) Canadian Pacific Railway UP 0.6% 5) Franco Nevada Corp UP 2.64% 6) First Quantum Materials UP 3.2% CGI Fund also 27.4% discounted before we even started trading today. I'm adding more....... | tonytyke2
25/11/2021 13:11 | New ALL TIME HIGH at 2630p in today's session. Much further still to run. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
16/11/2021 08:57 | Still 33.2% discounted to NAV highlighted this morning! | tonytyke2
15/11/2021 16:02 | NOT TO BE MISSED. Just released a few moments ago, an excellent new piece of research by highly-regarded Edison Group on CGI headed :- " VERY LONG-TERM RECORD OF OUTPERFORMANCE " An in-depth dive into CGI including commentary on portfolio. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
15/11/2021 13:34 | Thanks, Steeplejack | strategic trout
15/11/2021 13:29 | If you buy US securities like Apple,Amazon etc listed on the US exchanges either through an overseas broker or a domestic broker like AJBell, then to mitigate withholding tax you will be required to fill out a W8BEN.However,Canadi | steeplejack
15/11/2021 12:44 | Cheers, RvR | strategic trout
15/11/2021 12:43 | II and AJ BELL took some tax off but then later credited it back for isa and sipp accounts. I don’t remember filling any form. | riskvsreward
15/11/2021 12:41 | Ian Cowie's column is to comment on investment strategy,it would be a pretty rum deal if he wasn't able to purchase the stocks he recommends. In any event,he probably hasn't bought that many in comparison with ,say,an investment bank stacking the book before releasing a company buy recommendation to a grateful public. The article itself draws on some recent winners like Nvidia but this trust is primarily Canadian,75% of the portfolio is Canada orientated. The MMs today are employing the old trick of widening the spread to near 4% at times which somewhat reduces the attraction of an extraordinarily large discount to assets. | steeplejack
15/11/2021 12:05 | Anyone know if you need to fill in an NR301 form (Canadian equivalent to W8BEN) to receive the full dividends on the London-listed CGI shares? | strategic trout
15/11/2021 11:34 | To be fair this has been undervalued for a long time, considering its long term good performance, highly liquid and good quality portfolio, progressive dividend etc. I have spotted the value long before Ian Cowie. I think ST has tipped this in IC a while back as well. | riskvsreward
15/11/2021 10:53 | Cowie tip in Sunday Times yesterday. Better than a cash bonus for him. Pumping a small company he has just bought into in a large newspaper. | careful
15/11/2021 08:30 | great share price performance this morning. | quepassa
15/11/2021 08:29 | Thanks steeplejack, wondered what was happening this morning. | tonytyke2
15/11/2021 08:29 | Reality finally perhaps catching up with this share. Major 6% jump at today's open. Market finally realising that the massive and unjustified discount-to-NAV is out-of-kilter with the size of the fund, its pedigree , track-record and performance. And just look at its top two holdings of Shopify (6.3%)and Nvidia (5.8%) which are booming. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa |
