08/11/2015 20:54 | Well . I've lost my mind , I must have . Tell me I'm not reading the requirement for 300 million dollars . | 2trying
06/11/2015 22:12 | Hi good people - firstly may I thank all who replied . Specific thanks to MS who made the position clearer on the website . I confess surprise myself that broker (10,000) would only accept a cheque , and not from a third party . To echo lochlea , would they notice , and would they care ? I wonder if CMR have missed out on funding accordingly in the past . Anyway , I am delighted to report that my 80,000 stockbroker has emailed me today with the offer of 5,333 shares for £266.65 . I am snapping that up !! All I need to do is say yes , and they'll take it out of my Client Account which has a cash credit balance of just over three hundred quid !! I am embarrassed to say , I had completely forgotten about the existence of that £300 . Moron that I am . Yet to hear from my 70,000 stockbroker , but I am so tempted to "do a maxwell" - that's the poster on this thread by the way - not jumping off my yacht like Robert Maxwell did , not that I have a yacht of course - and go for full entitlement . Why not ? - either support the company or sit in the corner sulking . Rock and roll people . I had to have a little chuckle at part of the email from 80,000 stocky , which read.... "Excess shares may also be applied for but applications may be scaled down" . Anyway Mark , looks like you're getting around £500 off me . Gosh - 0.1% - don't break out the Moet just yet mate . | 2trying
06/11/2015 17:17 | 2010 after share made 5p due to consolidation there was a rights issue at 5p per share to raise £1m + to pay off debts and wages etc... which meant very little left in the locker other than paper, hence to actually reach this point with possibly some real value again is quite an achievement, which is why I am a little bit fingers crossed etc. Will wait and see next year to actually cheer or cry. | maxwell
06/11/2015 17:04 | Yes, they were diluted for no purpose or gain. Another bright idea NOT from Burton. And I said so on here at the time. | lochlea
06/11/2015 16:56 | Plus are you talking 500k shares years ago or after the share consolidated ????? cannot remember the year, but will be in rns somewhere. | maxwell
06/11/2015 16:45 | They'll be worth what the market and the MMs say they are worth when trading begins. The face or nominal value (5p) will then of course mean Jack. I haven't seen any share dilution being mentioned - so why would they be "massively diluted". Don't understand that comment. | lochlea
06/11/2015 14:52 | Can't remember how many shares I hold (wrote them off a long time ago) - however, if I held 500,000, are they going to be massively diluted or simply all come back at 5p? Anyone any ideas? | wooster4
06/11/2015 14:49 | Are we saying then that on relisting these shares will be 5p+? | whoppy
06/11/2015 13:45 | I would invest in further shares if I had more confidence in the board, but from past experience with previous directors then No although, it will support the present directors at 5p per share with fingers crossed. | maxwell
06/11/2015 10:48 | Yes I am, I have been advised not to comment on any bulletin boards therefore I have to keep my response short. Please refer to our website for updates. | mine57
06/11/2015 10:30 | Mr Slater Are you participating in this Offer by taking up your own allocation? whoppy In fairness - what would you have them do? They need investment from somewhere to move the business forward. | lochlea
06/11/2015 10:27 | look at the website this afternoon re direct payments | mine57
06/11/2015 10:22 | Monies banked & new shares issued on 23rd of this month. It says so in the Offer. | lochlea
06/11/2015 10:11 | Yes. Presumably relisting is subject to raising enough money. If they don't raise enough then presumably they will not cash any cheques..but it's not clear in the offer. Also there are no details of the prospective resources. It seems it's a begging letter and one to steer clear of. | whoppy
06/11/2015 09:54 | LOL is that a serious question? | lochlea
06/11/2015 09:38 | So if they don't relist do they get to keep the money? | whoppy
06/11/2015 09:32 | 2trying why not a debit card as you just put the money into brokers account with attaching reference per off er of rights etc....??? | maxwell
06/11/2015 08:51 | I guess because they don't know yet if they'll raise the necessary funds to facilitate a re-list. They have stated they hope re-listing will be sometime in Q1 2016. | lochlea
06/11/2015 08:45 | Why no date for relisting? | whoppy
06/11/2015 08:39 | I wonder how many shares Mr Slater is buying at 5p? Would be a very strong signal if he took his full allocation and made that fact known, would it not? All I've ever seen is him & Burton showing as having done not too badly financially out of this fiasco over past 3-4 years with fees & expenses. | lochlea
06/11/2015 07:58 | J - do you know they won't accept a cheque from your wife??? Can't for the life of me think why. Or even that they'd ever notice the chq wasn't from you. | lochlea
05/11/2015 22:00 | 2trying - you could always offer them a gold bond. | digger27
05/11/2015 21:01 | Tiny problem here - I know no-one can offer me financial advice , but perhaps someone has come across similar and can help . I hold my CMR shares through three different brokers (long story). 80,000 ; 70,000 and 10,000 . (All figures after consolidation). So I thought to myself , let's have the 10,000 offer - 666 new shares at a hilariously unimportant £33.30 . Just to see what happens ! But it appears I can't . Why not ? I haven't written a cheque this century . If I need one I go to my Building Society , and they charge me £20 . I assume , though I haven't asked , my Bank would do the same . Wife has a chequebook , used for Christmas and birthday cards , but they won't accept third party cheques !!! What thoughts? And Mr Slater , I'm prepared to have a little tickle.... 5,000 new shares for £250 .I'll stand paying £20 , I'd be crazy to pay that for thirty odd quids worth . | 2trying |
