JLE - I was watching Mark Slater being interviewed. Don't know who you were watching? ;-)

But I agree it wasn't impressive.

JLE, I thought they wanted to come back to the market as they have an asset that is worth investing in? Glencore have spent $2,500,000 so far and have a budget planned for operations into 2017 and beyond. They seem to be quite keen. Or is this all wrong?

Someone said the management are taking up the offer.

Maybe I'm naïve.

Whoppy, precisely. This is pie in the sky... Watching Hardy in the proactive investors interview is cringe worthy. They're asking existing holders as there is no-one else interested. This will never relist at anywhere near value for old shareholders... they're hoping we'd be gullible enough. Im certainly not.

Lets hope that any potential investors don't discover this thread!

You would think that CMR would have already sounded out new potential investors through their Nomad/Broker for a fund raise of £2m at 5p which is needed to fund the company, on the provision that they get relisted. Otherwise why bother with a relisting if further funding was doubtful. They would want to have something to underpin the share price on relist in order for it to be successful.

I was told once by a reliable source about funds raised by a charity in the uk for a childrens orphanage in Africa. The money was handed over and the guy running the orphanage immediately got himself a roller!

I know my gut feeling.

That is not to participate in the co's latest fiasco. I shall be selling at the first opportunity and if the price drops may consider a smaller re-investment having taken a little off the table.

If the price continued to rise I will be quite happy for the investors who stayed with the stock and will walk away with dignity.

Good luck with whichever option you opt for.

Oily.

Wow, what a morning of posts. Just got in after being out all morning and it's taken a while to catch up with things. As always we have a difference of opinions just like some Brokers who comment a share is a buy and some that say it's a Sell.

Must admit I have received my open offer to participate in this latest placing, but due to personal reasons I am unable to take up this offer. Saying that, I don't feel I am being irresponsible in not trying to support the company at this critical time as I did participate in the September and December placing's of 2008 to the tune of £110,000.

I have accumulated more shares since the company de-listed from AIM in March 2009, including shares from lochlea, and by the way he didn't offer to sell them to me, but I offered to buy them from him. I heard he wanted a set of new golf clubs and at that time I was accumulating shares from whoever would let me buy them at the "right price" - an amicable deal was reached.

I feel that participating now in the latest offer is still a high risk, global investment climate and all that taken into account, but Cambridge are in a much better position than they have been for many years.

Still reasons not to invest as well as reasons to invest imo. One has to do their own research and "go with your gut" after research has been evaluated. If Brokers felt this IPO is a "no go" then I am sure they would not put their name to it.

Does anyone know if the Glencore 60% earn in interest in Spain is taken up as equity in CMR, or is it the exploration licence?

Nobody has posted more on this thread than me over the years being highly critical of the management. I am entirely impartial as I don't hold - but I have a genuine interest. I have never encouraged nor recommended anyone to invest here. Simply applauded them if they felt they should do so. Because if they don't and the fundraising is a disaster then the likelihood of a re-list ever happening becomes extremely remote.

Your idea of having the funds held in escrow in this instance is absolutely pointless and offers no safe-guard to those investing unless you are saying that if there's no re-list then all the professional parties involved in the process are prepared to waive their fees & expenses. It ain't gonna happen. Why on earth would it?

You mention if it was held in escrow it would save on salaries...... nobody has had any salaries for 6 years with this saga.

You sound as if you're one of these motor-mouths that like to pretend you know it all and have the last word. Sad & pathetic................

No just don't like liars and cheats who don't invest their own money whilst trying to get others to part with their hard earned money....my ideas make complete sense whilst offering full protection to shareholders....

Your way is to get shareholders to invest blindly whilst you are not prepared to....hence why you're a c*nt!

No. But I hope Mr Slater has the ability within him to succeed.

He told me once (about 4 years ago) that I had a glass half empty approach to this fiasco and the then BoD (all gone now when Burton too goes shortly) would soon be putting money back in my pocket. I assume his glass is still half full and he achieves a successful re-list.

LM - best place for you.
All I have been suggesting is to put the monies raised over the next 2 weeks in escrow offers no safeguards whatsoever for those shareholders who invested. Nor does it serve any practical purpose having the funds sat in escrow.

If you can't see that then....... d'oh.
