06/11/2009 18:57 | yes, buffet bought into Cadbury a while back. He was the largest individual owner of Kraft. Do you think he knew something.? I sometimes wonder about Warrens genius. | careful
06/11/2009 18:45 | with a stated pe of 33 this could eventually fall to below 550 if kraft walk | careful
06/11/2009 16:31 | oh well the market is now about to close so for those of us who are locked in over the weekend, Good luck, its gona be all or bust on monday. Good luck K | kumala
06/11/2009 16:22 | the shareholders are unrealistic. after the split from the soft drinks division Cadbury inherited the debt. (i sold at 782) i think Kraft tried to deter other bidders by getting her knockout bid in early. the press prattled on about 900p, some even above 1000p. it reminds me of the Sainsbury family sticking out for over 600p. (i sold at 580)lucky!. the sainsbury family can now enjoy their shares at about 330p. | careful
06/11/2009 16:18 | Bet she will surprise us all and come back with a KNOCKOUT BID of £8.90. we wont be able to refuse that. (we can hope) K ;/ | kumala
06/11/2009 16:12 | Looks like they are going to walk away, they have wasted everybodys time and money, woman in charge of Kraft so what do you expect, can't make her mind. | montyhedge
06/11/2009 16:11 | Hard to call at the moment, something might be reveled over the weekend now, hope its not bad news, as the share price will tumble into oblivion on open monday. K | kumala
06/11/2009 16:08 | holding her nerve. she will offer about 750, hardly any change. maybe 350p cash, 400 shares. cadbury has too much debt, about 5 billion, to pay more. 50;50 she will walkaway. | careful
06/11/2009 15:55 | If it wasnt gona happen i am sure we would have hear'd something by now, the Sp has drifted somewhat lately, but not to much, Bloomberg has just mentioned the deal, and was talking of what price the bid might come in at, so at this point looks like it still might go ahead, but we wont know now till prob monday, well thats my thoughts, no harm in opening a short, but with a tight stop. DYOR as allways K | kumala
06/11/2009 15:39 | Anyone have the feeling it wont happen. Still thinking of opening as short with a guaranteed stop loss. Only £10 pp would still be good profit as the share would collapse. | smurfy2001
06/11/2009 15:34 | Deal could still be on, BLOOMBERG just saying that Kraft will have to come with anything between 7.80 and 8.50 p share to get the deal sealed. Who knows. K | kumala
06/11/2009 14:48 | That drop made me sweat, glad to see the share price ging higher......... K | kumala
06/11/2009 14:36 | still no news, looks like its gona be monday afterall, times going on. K | kumala
06/11/2009 14:28 | market under presure at moment anyway, US figs dont help, so its not just Cadbury falling, still dont know what the outcome will be, still hoping. K | kumala
06/11/2009 14:17 | Oh dear market telling us they know, Kraft have walked away. Always someone knows more than you. | montyhedge
06/11/2009 11:39 | PS: the buys against sells are pretty steady, better than seeing sells out number buys by 3-1, that might indicate something up, the share price has sliped just recently, did have a stop in my mind to Vacate the building at 7.70p but am still hear,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, K | kumala
06/11/2009 11:36 | Well, I just hope we get something outa this, if the bid fails the share price will go into free fall. K | kumala
06/11/2009 11:31 | They have until 5pm Monday 9th Nov, but surely news today, so we think about the offer over the weekend. | montyhedge
06/11/2009 11:29 | you and me both monty, got everything crossed hear, £8.20 would be good, was hoping for a higher fig, (assuming the bid is coming that is) but with no other bidder on the horizon and the not as good as expected Kraft figs, i think the figs mentioned before of aroubd £8.50 to £9 is well out of reach, all will be reveiled very soon, today would be good, waiting over the weekend for the market to open monday with the news is no good for my health, lol. God luck buddy. K | kumala |
