yes, buffet bought into Cadbury a while back.
He was the largest individual owner of Kraft.
Do you think he knew something.?

I sometimes wonder about Warrens genius.

the shareholders are unrealistic.
after the split from the soft drinks division Cadbury inherited the debt.
(i sold at 782)
i think Kraft tried to deter other bidders by getting her knockout bid in early.
the press prattled on about 900p, some even above 1000p.

it reminds me of the Sainsbury family sticking out for over 600p.
(i sold at 580)lucky!.
the sainsbury family can now enjoy their shares at about 330p.

Hard to call at the moment, something might be reveled over the weekend now, hope its not bad news, as the share price will tumble into oblivion on open monday.

holding her nerve.
she will offer about 750, hardly any change.
maybe 350p cash, 400 shares.
cadbury has too much debt, about 5 billion, to pay more.

50;50 she will walkaway.

If it wasnt gona happen i am sure we would have hear'd something by now, the Sp has drifted somewhat lately, but not to much, Bloomberg has just mentioned the deal, and was talking of what price the bid might come in at, so at this point looks like it still might go ahead, but we wont know now till prob monday, well thats my thoughts, no harm in opening a short, but with a tight stop.
DYOR as allways

Anyone have the feeling it wont happen.

Still thinking of opening as short with a guaranteed stop loss. Only £10 pp would still be good profit as the share would collapse.

Deal could still be on, BLOOMBERG just saying that Kraft will have to come with anything between 7.80 and 8.50 p share to get the deal sealed.
Who knows.

PS: the buys against sells are pretty steady, better than seeing sells out number buys by 3-1, that might indicate something up, the share price has sliped just recently, did have a stop in my mind to Vacate the building at 7.70p but am still hear,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

you and me both monty, got everything crossed hear, £8.20 would be good, was hoping for a higher fig, (assuming the bid is coming that is) but with no other bidder on the horizon and the not as good as expected Kraft figs, i think the figs mentioned before of aroubd £8.50 to £9 is well out of reach, all will be reveiled very soon, today would be good, waiting over the weekend for the market to open monday with the news is no good for my health, lol.
God luck buddy.
