08/9/2009 14:47 | kraft down 6% reduces the value of offer to 718p. (300p + kraft shares bal) | careful
08/9/2009 14:44 | kraft down 6%. | brain smiley
08/9/2009 13:34 | Someone agrees with my opinion anyway.. This is a piece from FT Alphaville | brain smiley
08/9/2009 13:23 | Why not Hershey merge with Cadbury and get it all ? Cadbury and Hershey have talked before about merging. These two companies have altruistic backgrounds and current views. Cadbury doesn't want to be taken over and the Hershey deal is their way out. Who want's loads of Kraft shares ? | brain smiley
08/9/2009 13:04 | Hershey and nestley will bid and split it | the player_009
08/9/2009 12:56 | To risky for me. I think Cadbury will do a merger with Hershey. They want to avoid being taken over and Hershey needs to grow. | brain smiley
08/9/2009 10:54 | Boyz just chill, and wait for the breakout today. Remember when LSE refused deutsch borse offer at 500p, it went up 1700p. Here we could go 900p-1000p easily, the analysts will keep ramping it up, with counter offers ect | the player_009
08/9/2009 10:51 | Monty Plank Although you had £200 worth of shares AU. for Blnx, it was a nice transfer of wealth, spend that on lap dancing. :) | the player_009
08/9/2009 10:16 | wad Totally agree, a profit is a profit. | montyhedge
08/9/2009 10:13 | Brian Smiley - I agree there is a small but significant risk of this falling through.I don't have a big holding so I am not that bothered , but selling for £8 would not be a bad option; bird in the hand. Look what happened to last years RTZ takeover; sitting too long on a better deal saw a £70 share price fall to £10.(I know there are many differences but the concept is the same). | wad collector
08/9/2009 09:55 | If this happens guys we will be living in Monte Carlo. | montyhedge
08/9/2009 09:54 | Lol what a post name The Player, more like The Muppet. | montyhedge
08/9/2009 09:52 | The player Lol we got free shares from Autonomy, Gibert if you say so, but don't be deluded, the idiots on the Provexis thread have made us shorts thousands. | montyhedge
08/9/2009 09:47 | careful There was an analyst on CNBC this morning from Jefferies and he said Cadbury wants to stay independent and he thinks they can pull it off. He said the City would rather have CBRY paper than Krafts . Kraft is a big but poor performing company. I bought yesterday being sure this would be taken over at a higher price - not convinced now. CBRY might even have a bid at Hershey or merge with them - they realy want to be independent. | brain smiley
08/9/2009 09:46 | LOL Monty Panesar I took your money from 60p to 10p on Blnx, when you were puffing 300p, mug punter giro investor | the player_009
08/9/2009 09:45 | monty - you just don't pay attention do you? I was never in Provexis either long or short. | gilbertd
08/9/2009 09:43 | gibertd Lol how much you lose in that dog Provexis, thanks us shorts made a killing in that stock, thanks to idiots like you, buy some Cadbury's still mileage left, make up for you losses. | montyhedge
08/9/2009 09:38 | Been talking to yourself again? "montyhedge - 8 Sep'09 - 09:37 - 257 of 257" | gilbertd
08/9/2009 09:37 | Talk of 900p a share, some say 1200p, interesting. | montyhedge
08/9/2009 09:33 | Good advice from a newbie telbap. Lol. The recent FP/Resolution acquisition is likely a good guide. Took nearly a month of improved offers and dithering after initial rejection but squeezed another 10% out of Cowdery. Here it is even juicier with options such as Nestle and Hershey etc. with Warren Buffet allegedly holding big shares as well as Legal & General who have supported the Cadbury boards stance at £7.45. 10% on that takes you to £8.20-30 range and the naf phrase applicable here of a little extra 'sweetener' should see an acceptable £8.50 imho. A lot of discussions and movements behind the scenes today I'd imagine. Let Orange/Telfonica take the headlines and then will see tomorrow or later in the week. Seems unlikely to drop significantly until all is resolved, and don't think it won't be! Topicel | topicel
08/9/2009 08:32 | Sid - I am a newbie - seen Monty every where - esp Barc - but thanks for the warning - nice to see people who have a care! All other newbies - listen to sid - you might "nick" 20 points on this, but it likely to rocket down 50 - 100 when yo are not looking - a very DANGEROUS day trade even with stops (they dont always work well, 10k debt i have that proves it) you have been warned. | telbap
08/9/2009 08:25 | 300p in cash plus some kraft shares is messy. kraft have 9 billion of debt so cannot offer too much cash in the new environment. surprised these are holding up, looking to get back in at lower level. slowly, slowly etc, i must be patient. | careful
08/9/2009 08:00 | newbies dont listen to monty hedge since the man is a fool he's still reeling from his losses on barclays which he was calling at 175 a couple of weeks ago he also lost a packet on glaxo very recently he always jumps on wagons but is always too late to the show since he has no city contacts BEWARE THE MAN IS AN IDIOT sid | sidarthur2
07/9/2009 22:41 | Fab to see "£12 here we come" - so closely followed by " this will tank tomorrow" Snapperhead - Microsoft......lol! | telbap
07/9/2009 21:07 | This is going to tank tom! | oldmucker |
