I'm not sure we will drop too far as we have dropped a long way from the £1.45 offer. We will find out soon. |
If we are led to believe StoneX were interested in Cab at £1.15, £1.25, £1.35 and around £1.45 , then £1.06 seems very very cheap.
Anything below £1.06 is a steal. Get ready for a bun fight to get hold of shares early doors if you can get any. Could be Helios told StoneX off record £1.45 was a non starter and didn’t cut the mustard and StoneX walked away on that basis |
Nice response from CABP today - Good riddance StoneX....

SHOCK, HORROR, SURPRISE !!
You could tell it a mile off. The corruption was disgusting and let’s hope the FCA and SFO really look into it.
Glad it out the way to be honest. Let’s get back to normal trading. On the BOD to start delivering. New CEO had 6 months. Our current market cap of £260m .
For that you are getting
No debt company Sought sfter banking licence Profitable company Visa deal European licence USA licence incoming MENA licence incoming Fx derivatives incoming New central location attracting better staff and clients New strategy from new CEO out to prove himself.
I’ve got a few quid so will buy the dips . Wouldn’t surprise me we finished levels today as loads will buy in for sure and £260m a snip and we are free from the bid manipulation . |
If someone offers you £145k for a house which is on the market for £107k, why would you not take it?
....unless you know the real value of the house will be worth much more than £145k with a few improvements.
Bring on £165k+ soon |
Fair enough! Just felt the US license would tempt them and they would make a later bid. Back to the 80s now...balls! |
Unfortunately francoismyname was correct, big holders have been selling for days knowing there was going to be no bid. Absolutely stinks, as always insider trading as usual.
Guessing it will slam dunk down now after the latest trading update. |
That aged well...

100% will be extension imo. The banking license coming up is worth a decent amount here and StoneX know this!! |
Surprised no extension and StoneX just walking away. What a waste of time!! |
No Deal - Thankfully, 145p was too low! CABP still "independent" CABP to announce the US Licence soon (they said completion and signed in H2 2024). Share price back over 165p soon. |
Stonex share price up today 6% which equates to $180m additional market cap or £140m in Uk pounds.
The £1.45 deal values Cab at £370m |
100% will be extension imo. The banking license coming up is worth a decent amount here and StoneX know this!! |
What's the odds on an extension RNS tomorrow. Been in talks since July, you would think they would be close either way. |
I reckon the deal is still on and if it doesn't go through tomorrow they'll ask for an extension |
Big short bets will be placed today on inevitable fall tomorrow ion guaranteed no deal announcement. Not a chance this succeeds. 4m or more of sells in past 5 days by insiders and not one buy. Nearly 40% gain to be made if deal went through at ££1.45 nd yet no takers with 1 day to go. Wake up and smell the coffee everyone including those who think they know the game saying deal is still possible.
Some other sad reflections.
We are 31% of the IPO price despite European, USA and MENA licences incoming and visa deal. Focus should turn to the BOD and how are they going to turn this around along with the useless ANne Cairns our pathetic Chair woman.
I’ve got a few Quid on the sidelines and will be buying tomorrow when deal is off . Still well undervalued. Just kitchen sink this year and start delivering next year against new strategy. |
There seem to be a fair few folk on here who don't understand the game and if that is the case you really shouldn't play! As for holding long term, that was my initial intent but I've lost confidence in CABP management to deliver. I've an average cost price around 90 and I'll happily take a 50% profit, but might settle for less. I'm not convinced a deal is dead, it's not over until the fat lady sings. |
Whatever happens I'll buy more at the lower price if deal is not supported |
Why are you so angry about it.Invest for the longterm.Deal on...OK great.Deal off...OK I'll be invested longer with US news, growing FX business and hopefully growing profits, with share price 1 year glfrom now above 165p. |
Market is not even open yet... |
Another 2 million of sales this morning on the back of insider trading.
Corrupt to the core. |
Latching sells coming in again from those with inside information.
Really is disgusting.
Makes you want to see a few of them face to face and tell them what corrupt bustards the really are. Will tell our BOD at the AGM. |
Will buy you a large scotch if this goes for £1.65 this week.
Think you may have been drinking a bit too much scotch making predictions like that. I agree it’s worth that and more just that it won’t happen this week as no deal will happen. |
