Agree with the above, and wonder what might be around the corner.

Sold out. Average buy price 1432, and that'll do me while they see how they can gain the upper hand again. Lot of folk going to be taking a lot of profits after this update, as if they haven't already started.

Sentiment, excluding Shore Cap, apparently, has changed today.

!YOUTUBEVIDEO:KJzkxHCtn2A:
Can Bunzl distribute some good vibes following Wednesday’s first quarter update?

While it may have overcame the setback already, late-February’s full year results were not well-received by investors, who focused on the 50 bps decline in the UK & Ireland’s operating margin due to ‘challenging market conditions’.

Any word on further acquisitions will be sort after on Wednesday, while investors will be keeping an eye on Bunzl’s UK margins given that trading conditions have been no less ‘challenging’ over the first quarter.

Looks ok to me at first glance. Debt down, divi up, margins down n up, decent organic growth. Fewer acquisitions than in the past; I wonder why. Maybe they want to hold their fire while global uncertainty plays out - hopefully, or maybe they're running out of decent deals, or maybe they're concentrating on consolidating their ops.

What do I know.

I'd like to see a continuation of recent organic growth and consolidation of their markets. Seems to me that they've been spreading themselves around the globe too thinly; although it also seems to me that that strategy has changed recently.

We'll see.

Bunzl at a high but it’s still a good play, says Shore Capital

Outsourcing business Bunzl (BNZL) remains a ‘high quality defensive play’ for Shore Capital despite the shares trading at an all-time high.

Analyst Robin Speakman retained his ‘buy’ recommendation on the shares, which were trading at £25.15 yesterday.

‘Trading at all-time-high share price levels, we remain positive on prospects for the provider of working capital efficiency-focused products and services,’ he said.

He said margins remained stable and the outlook was positive, although with ‘perhaps lower global economic growth levels to leverage this year and perhaps for 2020’.

‘Bunzl remains a high-quality defensive play,’ said Speakman. ‘The cashflow generation capability continues to drive growth… we look for a flow of modest underlying upgrades to continue – sustaining share price performance over the medium term.’

Held these for decades. Good to see the organic growth increasing, I'd been a bit concerned that all the purchases over the years hadn't been translating into much OG, with seemingly haphazard investments being made globally. Still work to do, though.

Anyway, continuing to deliver.

No probs from me osirisra, main thing is you called the direction right. I was indeed lucky enough to add at around £20 when the volume dropped off in early January, and still happy to hold.
