28/3/2017 09:03 | Yesterday was bear closing to bag some profits, could see new bear positions put on. My guess going lower. | montyhedge
28/3/2017 08:10 | "'AT' BEAR RAID" holding this one down this am {:@( | colonelgrim
28/3/2017 07:50 | Or might see a rise if more investors see the pull back as another unexpected opportunity to buy more at this level.I know which one most of us would like to see :) | moretimeforlife
28/3/2017 07:45 | Might see an early fall as newspapers discuss yesterday's news. | oakville
28/3/2017 07:27 | Hubshanks, “…waitin Correct me if I’m wrong here, surely a business that relies solely upon internet connectivity to operate/survive today, would not move premises before a fully operational office/workshop was up and running, especially in the light that any small hiccup in trade might send said business to the wall!’ They call it economic planning I think! 28/3/2017 00:33 | Fair enough hubshank, looks like you were badly let down! Just touched a nerve with me when some businesses move or setup in the middle of nowhere and expect instant fast service. BT has to do it at great loss. | pacemaker1000
27/3/2017 19:29 | Good to see the rising support level. Will feel even better when it resumes the steady rise back up towards 400+ | moretimeforlife
27/3/2017 18:45 | Well if today's debacle and a weak Dow cannot push BT lower I don't know what will? Dividend will not be cut and this feels as about as low as it's going to go ! | oakville
27/3/2017 18:42 | Pacemaker.... The new business was 89 steps away from our old premises!!! They make an absolute meal of it and damaged the business which was already struggling with the recession. I should not have vented, as the purpose of the thread is to discuss the share rather than moan about what they didn't do for us. No did not try the others as it was meant to be a straight forward switch from one premises to another. Let's hope the share price picks up tomorrow. Top end of forecasts is some 75% higher than current share price value. Now wouldn't that be welcome! | hubshank
27/3/2017 17:58 | After the heart attack this mornings news gave me, i'll take todays closing share price Hopefully this is now the bottom :-}} | pacemaker1000
27/3/2017 17:02 | Thanks 801710245. When I saw this £300M compensation figure this morning I thought here we go again (Groundhog Day), but given BT is market leader in broadband provision (30+%), Virgin have their own network which leaves CP's such as Sky, TT, Vodaphone and other small players (including EE and PlusNet). So from my very simplistic viewpoint a large proportion of the compensation will go back into BT Group? I could be wrong and would be happy to be corrected. | toon1966
27/3/2017 16:33 | Hubshank...where was the new business located? In an existing trading estate or the middle of nowhere? Did you approach Sky and Talktalk for a new line too? Could they do it quicker? | pacemaker1000
27/3/2017 16:27 | Nice post 801710245.Had to smile at that one..... subtle I would have written 'but it all goes back into the same BT pot'.Not as elegantly put as your post though. | excell1
27/3/2017 16:18 | toon, Almost certainly. Departments routinely charge eachother for their services anyway. | 801710245
27/3/2017 16:12 | Post 22684 to be precise n19, mutley is trying his damnedest to suggest it down, I still say he's called it wrong, especially after today's intraday movement! | colonelgrim
27/3/2017 16:06 | As BT is a CP (communication provider) will Openreach have to pay BT compensation? | toon1966
27/3/2017 15:22 | montyhedge, that snippet of info you've just read (£300m), has already been posted elsewhere on this thread today. Are we heading towards another blue finish? | 801710245
27/3/2017 14:57 | BT also have to pay rivals £300m to rivals, I just read, crazy. Sharon White at Ofcom seems to dislike BT lol. | montyhedge
27/3/2017 14:38 | Batten down the hatches. | montyhedge
27/3/2017 13:49 | It does appear that Internal Controls are poor, in the cases cited. There is no excuse for that but is the problem endemic throughout the entire operation? What percentage of business do these complaints represent? My personal take is that BT is being given a slap by OFCOM, through Openreach, because they lost the war. Serious questions must be asked about vindictiveness and bias. BT have not stood up to the Regulator, but I suspect it is the price to be paid for the long game. Sometime ago, I tried to complain to OFCOM, about another service provider, but they dismissed it out of hand without due consideration of the facts presented. This was on behalf of a friend in business, who was left without a service for a number of days. There was no redress, and it did affect the business. | redartbmud
27/3/2017 13:29 | Kept us waiting three months for a new line when we moved business premises - not good for a mail order company. Just about put us out of business, then they told us where we could go to make a claim against them, however we did not ever receive the forms!!! Pfft. | hubshank
27/3/2017 12:55 | Held well I thought 310p. | montyhedge
27/3/2017 12:24 | The attraction is BT owns and runs the most important business of today. it cannot help but make money! | pacemaker1000
27/3/2017 11:37 | Pleasantly surprised how the share price has held up, still in profit on my 4 purchases and hopefully bad news behind us. | oakville |
