Experienced investors know value is eventually recognised and as a solid stock with 5% yield positioned to benefit from the accelerating digital demands, BT will return to 400+ where it belongs and could even be acquired around £5-£6.Also remember: Every time someone uses a mobile phone in the UK, the nearest mobile phone mast directs the call to its destination transmitter over BT in-ground infrastructure and the mobile companies pay BT Wholesale for this service. As mobile phone usage continues to increase, BT revenues will continue to increaseLots of upside!IMHO, DYoR, GLA etc

Experienced traders know profit warnings come alone in threes, we have had the first, then Italy fiasco, Ofcom what's going to happen, pension deficit how big now. New Chairman, who?.Apart from that everything ok. Lol

Pull back from nearly £4 was cruel and grossly overdone. BT was lambasted by the BT Italian offshoot but it's only 1% of turnover and certainly didn't warrant the 20% fall in the share price.EE will be nicely adding to revenues now and director buys certainly confirm this to me.

And the large fall and chop of market cap in comparison to the actually real value of the reported costs is the reason I have now invested.

Classic case of an over reaction in stock price fall when sentiment on a particular stock is Negative. This will be the classic case of price rubber banding and snapping back to its original size where it belongs. Which in regards to BT is a higher value than it's currently at.

... Until news comes...
What about the news that BT linked up major foreign exchanges?
That seems significant news to me. To win such prestigious business the company needs to provide top-class state-of-theatre hardware & software for top-speed transactions.

DynamicThe long/short strategy works for me, don't forget I'm a trader not an investor. Shares get over bought on the way up and over sold on the way down. BT at 297p were over sold and 335p over bought. So I think the right price until news comes along is 320p. But hey everyone to their own.

Monty,I respect everyone has a right to their perspective and how that makes one feel and may have felt some concerns when the share price was in the high 400s but have found that rapid overdone falls and rises have a habit of normalising to middle ground in the absence of a significant unknown factor. From my perspective the intrinsic value is much higher than current level and am expecting it to be closer to 400 than 300 by end of 2017 but don't expect a straight line rise.I would also not be surprised if AT&T or one of the other global behemoth or wannabes leverage the current value and £ weakness to make a move for BT as the value equation for an overseas player is more attractive than it has been for a long long time.I am enjoying the ride and expect to achieve a significant return this year.Good luck with whatever strategy works best for you.

Monty, you think from going to bull to bear on these threads to mirror your own trading position can influence the price? If so you're a muppet of larger proportions than many give you credit for...
