The thing is, being a big hitting trader with £10,000pp shorts mean, as well as getting a really pukey feeling to the stomach, you have to also come on here pretenting to have closed 1st thing. Not that pretending is difficult for some. And while you're deciding whether to throw in the towel or not, yo get a call from your broker telling you they've closed you out anyhow, and please could you send a cheque for fifty grand at your earliest convenience.

US ADR buys volume highest for first hour since end January may be a good indication of where the demand is coming from.....rare window of opportunity for an acquirer given current price and exchange rate.

Taken %7.49 profit since the BT profit warning on shares purchased at 309.93.

To my mind a trader would be someone who might sell share 'A' at a 10% loss in order to buy share 'B' at a 20% profit. (as to No.1 trader, very very dubious :-))

Why sell today at - what? - £3.26 maybe?, when as recently as Monday, you wrote this:

If we break 325p and hold this week, next trading range will be 350p - 360p.
Even then still ridiculous cheap.

...You sold BT shares at up to 34p less than a price you regard as "ridiculous cheap" -
and you call yourself "No.1 trader"?

No problem with people taking profits but the above post did make me smile.

As you point out it shows a scrambled thought process unless backed up with changing circumstances since previous comment.
