They are clearly moving beyond just being a telco on the global front. Their base will be the UK and there's a lot you can do from that base if the right deals can be done. Will be interesting if the local regulator starts to realise that actually we need stronger not weaker players locally to compete globally. It's funny that in the UK that big players in the local market are seen as a threat when really they are not on the global scale. The local regulation could be more effective to get that balance right.

Why BT Bargainbob? BT are essentially a UK incumbent operator who are looking to sell their businesses in Ireland, Spain and Italy. How does working with BT have 'global scale'?

Trying to get more detail on the tie up here , has great potential . Was pleased to read that BT are seen by amazon as the world experts in their field .

This could have global scale.

Also on the Amazon point all the games they broadcast boxing Day went through BT Outside broadcast units and infrastructure, I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't plans for them to grow there involvement in sports rights in the UK and perhaps take a stake in BT/BT Sport .

Wonder if the partnership with Amazon is being downplayed. There's lots of Amazon product that runs on telco infrastructure and that will only grow with the IoT going mainstream for home electronics. Would make sense to close that vulnerability with a telco purchase, so cheap right now as a utility. BT has problems but plenty of scope for deals.

This stock is falling like a rock. Didn't even get a Boris bounce like the rest of market.

Only a PE takeover can take it out of its misery.
