So true Coxsmn. Labour will bankrupt the UK given the chance. Any party other than Labour.

there's no doubting everyone will be poorer if JC wins and not just the 5%. Share prices and pensions will fall, pound will fall, business and investment will leave UK, Uk debt will increase to unprecedented levels and so will the interest repayments on it. Last time Labour was in government they left the note 'there in no money left in the pot', under JC's far left Marxist party it would be a lot lot worse. We would be drowning in debt with no money for a rainy day. A government where anti-Semitism is rife and JC who refuses to condemn the IRA.In summary, worst outcome possible for the UK imho

For Labour to be able to nationalise BT's broadband division like this, a lot of things would need to happen. Most notably, Labour actually has to win the election. All current polling in the UK has the Conservative party ahead, so for now there is no real indication this is something we need worry about, so to speak.Further to this, even if Labour do get into power at the election, in order to implement a policy like this, they would need a large majority to see it through Parliament. Naturally the polls would suggest this is not likely either.Within the Labour party itself, this idea may not be as popular as it may seem. While nationalisation certainly speaks to Jeremy Corbyn's beliefs, and perhaps a large body of the Labour party

I am 😃66 years old !

This is the worst bunch of so called public servants to stand for the highest office in the land.

From what I have read it is doing the liberals a favour keeping Jo Swinson off the air .

You may have despised Margaret Thatcher or Tony Blair/Gordon Brown at least they had a vision ...

I despair whatever the outcome..

Polls are useless, we have a first Past the Post electoral system whilst Poll results are percentage based.

Boris Johnson's predicted Commons majority slashed from 80 to 12 in a week, poll of polls reveals

I am happy if BJ wins.....but with a small majority to ensure he cannot force his BREXIT bill through parliament !

Onwards to 200p + no problem in my view, overseas investors sitting on the sidelines waiting to invest in the U.K, when the Tories win.

I haven't posted on here for yonks but, will someone explain to me how a 21st century extremely complicated huge telco can be separated for its Broadband and any good come of it.... Let me guess, it cant but FREE always sounds good to cop some more votes for good old Jezzer the Red.
While i am about, why do people (not everyone) that have bought a gaff in the middle of nowhere expect top speed broadband to be laid on, its like buying somewhere next to a noisy pub and then moaning about it.
I bet 90 per cent of people are getting along just fine with there internet connection just as it is now!
.... just as we get a new guy at the helm that is already getting on with the upgrading,.... and plenty besides, we get this. Beam me up!

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones) - German telecoms operator Deutsche Telekom is considering a merger with its French rival Orange, reports Wednesday the website of the newspaper düsseldorfois Handelsblatt, citing several sources familiar with the matter.

According to sources interviewed by the Handelsblatt, the merger project is "at an early stage", but such a merger could create "significant synergies".

Contacted by Agefi-Dow Jones, the two operators were not available immediately to comment on this information.

On the Paris stock exchange, Orange shares yield 0.1%, to 15 euros, after gaining up to 2.2%. In Frankfurt, the Deutsche Telekom share rose 1.6% to 15.29 euros.
