Just a mention that when the Western World is in trouble then everyone knows.
But when China is in trouble, then nobody knows.
Pride comes before a fall and all that.
Just ranting really :)

BT Sport struck a deal with YouTube for their UK viewers to see the Champions League and Europa finals only free. Excellent showcase for the main competitions which you can only see in the UK by subscribing to BT Sport.

I think hvs is talking about the free games aired via YouTube. These are just appetisers really. You have to pay for most games.

Financially I agree Meb, but I think it is very telling of the corporate culture.

I hadn't checked before, so was astounded to find that he took a bonus (albeit voluntarily capped) - that was a disgrace. I'm not sure if the actual value creators (AKA staff) actually got a bonus this year, but I do know they have been shafted in the past whilst their seniors still collected bonuses.

I don't have anything bad to say about Gavin, other than that he was not up to the job and it took FAR to long to decide this - he was as I understand it good in his previous role. But to take a bonus, whilst maybe "accepted practise" was well out of order.

I can't see why we need to dwell on the CEOs pay . At the end of the day it's loose change for BT in the wider scheme of things lol

I think a lot of the decline in the share price is due to the fact that the telecom sector is out of favour for now . Just look at Vodafone's share price and that is a solid company . Things go in cycles and I suspect we will see a turnaround soon but 80p target is a ridiculous assertion

EE alone contributed £1.353 billion to operating profit.

The Fool pundit suggesting 80p a share...that would put BT Market Cap down at approximately £8 billion.

BT has issues, but nothing compared to the Banks, this is not the next RBS.

Completely opposite Fool article to the last one?
Sats if divi drops share price could go back to 80p while others say divi drop will be good for share price
