Seeking Alpha article: "The Nest Egg Portfolio: BT Group Finds A Solution For The Pension Deficit, But The Market Doesn't Like It" . Read the article here:

Whatever BT do at present they are getting knocked back by the City, simply can't win. I'm in for the long haul, the next few quarterly trading updates will be critical for GP's future. Just my opinion.

Where did you get 1.5bn from?
Be nice and sorts the divi for a year
Doesn’t bode well for fibre rollout though

Early stages but it shows they are looking at options to bolster the balance sheet.

Buy shares if you think the will go up over time or don't buy shares if you think they will go down over time (or open a short on Monday maybe?). No-one knows the answer to where the share price will be in a couple of years. I have bought in, am happy to wait and see.

as hamhamham said , if you keep accumulating Avery 3 months lets say for next 2 years you will make money on BT , lets not forget price is dropping for 3 years and now we trade at7.7 earnings multiples which seems low, i admit debt is a bit high but long term we should be fine , i bought in at 202 , will top at about 160 level if need to be , just sit wait and collects whether divi they offer, if the price will spike to 230 40 level then i might take qiuck profit.. so for me price can go down or up,

The brokers will take this to 5 pence below the average stop-loss value, if there are few 'long' positions the share price value will rise, if over the past few days, CREST has accumulated a high number of hopeful 'longs', the share price will go through the floor, its a simple as that.

monday price movement would be crucial , we now had couple days price hovering around 202, 203, 204 which would suggest price stability , but if price go below 202 on monday then who knows what happens next..... 150 could then be possible...

We've seen markets post results reaction, which may suggest
a low level of confidence in dividend sustainability.
Still got this on a watchlist, might feel a bit braver next week.

I agree - 200 has become the new 400, as that sentiment and loyalty evaporates. People are living in the past thinking that this will ever get anywhere near that level again. That's why 150 isn't as crazy as people think. Keep your powder dry folks.

Hello! Hello! Anyone at home? LOL

The dividend has a reasonable chance of not remaining at its current level!

Kiss goodbye to your 7%?

As the share price falls and new investors replace old investors, 'historical sentiment' changes and it then presents an opportunity to relieve internal stresses and cut the dividend.

Yep I will be happy if the share price stays around here for the next few years and just collect a 7% divi per year. But sometime over the next couple of years I expect the share price to recover.

Knowing, those targets just caused a sell off that caused a micro trend to this point. Should retrace to UBS' target atleast imo. Gives the spivs a chance to reverse their positions and come out ahead ... for a change.
