This is a classic squeeze, 35% off 2017 highs, way oversold, the bull will be out of the stable soon, those in the know are also tracking EE's appetite to take the B2B market share IMHO

Reading this thread there seems to be an equal number of bull and bear points...tempted to have a bite but worried it might dip lower.

remember that Deutsche have a vested interest in talking up BT shares.
They hold a significant chunk of them after the EE sale.
The vale of their BT shares are well down and it turns their disposal into a disaster.
they could be dangling the prospect of a takeover to ramp up the shares in the hope of getting out.

I hold BT, but wary of desperate takeover talk.

Get Deutsche Telekom interested with BT...

BT are now Europe's largest 4G services operator.
Growth isn't always organic.

"It is the largest mobile network operator in the UK, with around 30 million customers and the largest operator of 4G services in Europe."

ISDN2 brings back memories. While at BT I was involved in a project in the late 90's to provide GP Practices with a managed dial-up ISDN IP service to the NHS's intranet (NHSnet), we then upgraded them to a managed IP VPN 256K service. What bandwidth, how times have moved on!!

Ive added for the dividend which is both reliable and superior to most savings accounts. Plus the increased fibre penetration which could bring some interesting developments.

7% yield for two years, then back to growth, according to GP.I can live with that.

Growth isn't always organic.

"It is the largest mobile network operator in the UK, with around 30 million customers and the largest operator of 4G services in Europe."

"On 24 April 2016, it was announced that as part of a new strategy, EE are aiming to extend the geographic reach of its 4G network in the UK from the current 60% to 95% by 2020, which will increase the proportion of the UK’s population covered by the 4G network from 95% to 99.8%. In order to achieve this, EE will build more than 750 new sites. Its 4G network was switched on today in Shetland and the Isles of Scilly, enabled by the fibre broadband links deployed by BT"

Minerve,You are correct sooner be in VOD.Its tempting to buy in here at the current SP,but like you state where is the growth coming from, and then you have the massive debt, and Pension liabilities. The only thing going for BT atm,is the dividend yield.
