It happens to the best of the best colonel. In fact even the number 1 trader with his mobile streams ( competing with Bill gates!) loses his shirt. Down 50% so far today. Any more tips monty?

Yeh, good morning William, good to see you, not sure that my miniscule holding here could be described as anything other than cold comfort!

PaPa, my largest holding was 130 big ones (K), in cable & wireless, I went on to loss the lot by being too greedy, painful lesson learnt there.

You must have fairly big balls metalsguru to hold such a large position in one company, however, I do think your strategy will be rewarded as long as you are patient. I've been waiting on a recovery here for a few months now, quietly buying more as I wait. Unfortunately, I don't have the ammunition you do, but, BT now represents 40% of my overall capital.
I take solace from the good Colonel holding these, his banter certainly passes the time. Good luck metal, hope your bravery is rewarded.

Correct Colonel except for the stooge part. I was already well down in AAL when I created this account hence the sarcastic username and while so far down I was in no mood to post.

Your posts seem to suggest there is good money to be made by swing trading the market metalsguru, such large amounts too, looking back through your posts I see you only mention AAL back in 2015 when you created your profile here(!), and BT.A quite recently, so can I take it you made your big clean up from your HSBC holding long before your graced these hallowed pages with words of encouragement and foolhardy inspiration!

Hhhmmmmm........

More broker stooges than you can shake a stick at!

Telecoms was a privatisation that mostly worked (eventually).

Unlike the periodic auction of the regional railway monopolies.

What can they do when BT recovers to 350p or so or do you think they alone can depress the price another 25% lower to close me out?

Corbyn does not appear to have mentioned BT in his renationalised industry proposals.

Ah, that would be my wounded brook trout analogy metal, no way on this planet is this one going to move, hence my miserable forecast for January!

… and of course, there’s your ‘long’ position with some gypsy broker, you just know they’re not gonna let you walk away from this little lot in one piece!

I await the closure of your ‘bet’ so we can all move on.
