Yes but with the exception of Canada these other markets coming of all time highs U.K. market never seems to ride the up wave as others but will come down in Tandem that's the way it's been for years and years

But if you own a goose that lays 100 golden eggs per year valued at $2000 each, who gives a damn what the market says it is worth?

As Warren Buffett once said, he wished the shorters would attack his shares and drive the price down.
Then he would buy back.

If only shorters were around to drive house prices down when I was about to buy.
Shorters are an investors best friend, they create bargains.

BT have a market cap of a miserable £10.4bn.
If they were in America with identical fundaments they would be at least twice that.

I prefer the lower price.

I personally think the loss of Pension Fund Investment is the biggest blow, down from 50% to almost nothing. This leaves it vulnerable to a Pack of Hedge Fund Wolves and Shorters, even the Canadian Government owned Pension Fund are shorting UK shares ffs!

uk stock market is dead, no one invests.
But the companies are doing quite well making profits and paying dividends.

A FTSE100 ETF pays a 4% dividend yield.
American ETF's in fashionable sectors pay 1% or under.

Better to ignore share prices.
even on days when results are good the share can go down, no one is buying.

If you were to view share graphs in terms of curves

The FTSE would be a spiral that slowly expands outwards,
so yes, for individual shares, it is a roundabout but the company,
for long periods of time,
while the company spiral expands, never quite
come back to where the company started

What if that corner happens to be in a roundabout?...

But he feels UK stock market and UK generally might be turning a corner now, and should be starting to recover..

BT
PE ratio 5.67...

That is basically the lowest market cap to profits in the FTSE100

And BT profits are set to expand massively over the next few years...

This is probably relevant to BT:

the chief executive of Currys was just on BBC Radio 4 (7:20am) talking about the take-overs, the low valuation, and his recent profits forecast beating expectations..

He said one of the reasons for the low valuation of Currys (and other companies) was the UK stock market was losing about 12% of its funds a year to overseas markets.... But he feels UK stock market and UK generally might be turning a corner now, and should be starting to recover..

Touchwood.
