EI: True but possibly, for this reason, it will be extra good if you call it right. Touchwood.

net, the current dividend may be cut under the new CEO - all be it BT has just reinstated dividends.

FWIW BT looks one of the most difficult stocks in the UKX to call direction on.

Netyt, futile attempt to ramp, or troll. Idiots like you should head on over to LSE, they have a forum that caters for your financial illiteracy.

...so, in a sense, it is a good time to buy.....
eg part of slow build up towards next dividend, 2024 recovery (see news stories)
and big money starting to roll in from "open reach".....

House prices have got to ridiculous levels mainly through Blair's non Manifesto policy of mass immigration started in 1997. Ironically it was to rub the Tory Noses in and make sure they never got into power again!
They have actually made it worse as no Government want's to give up the Golden Goose of high property prices - let's face it Greed wins on both sides and the electorate too!
There are virtually no Tory Constituencies in the Cities, so on that score Labour got what they wanted, It is the NIMBYs that are trying to stop it happening to them!!
Meanwhile we still have mass immigration and nowhere near enough Housing!

The immigrants are all being stuffed into the Cities whilst the NIMBYs want the high house prices but not the immigrants.

Is there any solid reason for recent falls or would this (eg today) be a reasonable time to buy back in?

Cheers for any info... (good or bad)....

Careful, how many pay inheritance tax today? How many are fed up with the tax thresholds?I'll give you a clue, less than 4 per cent pay it, and there are millions within the red wall that are fed up losing the buying power of their income. One will hold the existing Tory votes and no more, one will attract the voters that will determine the next government. If you are worried about your offspring losing out then do something about it.

Is Drahi stack for sale and at what price? That is the question. This is going to be most interesting trading stock for 2024. I may dip my toe again as they say there is no smoke without fire. GLA.

The malaise of our market is more or less across the board. UK Pension Funds have come down from owning nearly 50 percent to under 3 percent.
The BT Pension Fund is one of the biggest and worst culprits with under 1% in UK Equities.
Something needs to be done with our Pension and Investment Rules from Government to fix this but none of them seem to have a clue. Companies will start moving their listings to the US and other Exchanges it is only then will they do something though!
