Net debt GBP19.7bn, (31 March 2023: GBP18.9bn), increasing mainly due to pension scheme contributions with net free cash flow for the first half of FY24 substantially offsetting the payment for the final dividend of FY23

Our delivery in the first half means we are confirming our financial
outlook for FY24 with normalised free cash flow now expected towards
the top end of the guidance range, and we are declaring an interim
dividend of 2.31 pence per share.

mrf.as the installation of fibre nears completion, the logic for Openreach becoming independent grows.
The BT brand is toxic and tied up with the pension issue.

A resolution oof the pension liability together with Openreach becoming a separate engineering brand ….think Network Rail..and EE as the retail arm could be a possible scenario?

Article on Bloomberg today, Drahi’ entire debt funded empire now up for sale before bondholders likely take control, fire sale. Oops for his BT holdings. This is going to about .88p.

Probably not a good Week, weak markets and this:-

On October 29, 1929, "Black Tuesday" hit Wall Street as investors traded some 16 million shares on the New York Stock Exchange in a single day. Around $14 billion of stock value was lost, wiping out thousands of investors.

Not to mention Halloween coming up! lol
