basically every stock I follow has done the same thing. Looks like forced selling by funds, possibly due to redemptions by retail clients who need cash

A 25% crash in 2 months.
No particular reason it would seem.

Interest rate sensitive obviously.
Labour government on the horizon.

Easy to lose money in the UK market.
A basket case economy, terrible government.

Democracy stops politicians doing unpopular but essential things.

The travelling community realised the value in copper years ago. They have been digging dragging the cables out for years. Ask them they will tell you where it is and what's left!

It should be a lot cheaper to pull it out of a duct, where you know exactly where it is and how much of it there is and it’s already refined.Compare that to mining copper ore where it’s mainly guesswork and results in lots of failed attempts to find anything worthwhile.

2000 Tons seems a bit low considering they have been shoving the stuff underground for over a hundred years and it was the only option for many decades.

BT have committed to taking out the old copper when feasible, subject to market rates. They have circa 2000 Tons in the ground, at todays price worth circa £13 B. The question is what would it cost to get it out?
