Here’s a quick update on the overnight gaps that a couple of people have asked me to post up on here.

A couple of recent gaps have been closed out this morning, at 164.7p and 160.85p from 22/11 and 25/11 respectively. The gap-up this morning is a new one that’s opened at 154.0p, below that is 142.15p from 3/11.

On the upside we have clear blue water up until 183.95p on 28/7, followed closely by 2 others in July also in the 180’s.

India's Reliance Industries Ltd. on Monday denied that it was considering a bid for U.K. telecom group BT Group PLC.

Responding to a report in The Economic Times, Reliance said that it "categorically" denied any intent to make a bid for BT and that the article was "completely speculative and baseless."

Shares in BT rose as much as 9.5% in early trade. They are currently up 8.80 pence, or 5.7%, at 162.80 pence having peaked at 168.60 pence earlier in the session.

The Economic Times reported earlier Monday that Reliance was weighing a bid for BT, citing unnamed sources.

It shouldn't need rumours to be valued correctly. It sums up the pathetic state of UK mkts when people sell a group of assets for a quarter of what they are worth

Denied rumour by ril, it was only where share price was the other day anyway that explains why it wasn’t 50% up, but there’s no smoke without fire, someone’s after them the share price has been rising since October on no news imho dyor

No surprise there then ! More evidence of the share price manipulation , Screwed back over the past fortnight awaiting 'the financial scribblers' this w/e. Accepting the reluctance of some to 'hold' due to the UK's casino market ..BT is a HOLD for investors. When will shorting be outlawed in the UK? Such an 'Odeyous' activity deliberately putting UK jobs at risk through false company market valuations.

I think it’s amazing this is only back to where it was a week or so ago with takeover bid rumours and telecom Italian getting a bid with 50% premium, there has been sustained buying since results, maybe because it’s boring old bt no one has read the news surely something will go out on an rns, they have to if shares rise more than 10% don’t they?
