Brokers are managing expectations for BT, saying oh dividend may be cut, I don't think so, not the final, interim yes possibly. So when not cut everyone goes ahhhh.
But I think it will be bears getting the Golden Ticket to the Chocolate Factory when figures announced, lol

"LONDON (Alliance News) - Telecommunications company BT Group PLC said on Friday that two of its non-executive directors will step down with effect from July 11.
Karen Richardson, who served on the board for six years, and Tony Ball for nine, are set to leave the board in July".

Pace, I heard some BT staff were briefed in advance yesterday lunchtime,
so unsurprisingly the FT had the story last night.

Looks like middle management positions may bear the brunt.

"BT declined to comment"Someone has spun the story from somewhere. Closed period at BT and clearly they can't officially make any such announcement before the FY results, but it seems to me that there is a leak for PR purposes. The carpet may be stained red in a years time, but for now it looks yellow to me.

No, its employee blood we want to see...

"BT is planning to cut thousands of more jobs as the Britain’s biggest telecommunications company tries to win back investors after profit warnings and Italian accounting scandal."

More likely wee on the carpet than blood.Looks like a nervous leak from the CEO's office in response to Barclays' downgrade.

I thought Liverpool's result last night would be good for BT.
Massive increase in viewing figures for Champions League final
and some increase in subscriptions from scousers. ;-)

Deutsche telekom invested heavily in BT, the CEO was on bloomberg recently and spoke about investment(4:27). I used to work for T-mobile in europe for 6 years, and met the boards in germany and netherlands, these guys really know the road to success. I was working on fiber to the home and iptv in germany and holland in 2007, while eveyone in uk had sat dishes and dial up. I'm in.

Crooked brokers and mm's really extracting the urine today, staircase up, laundry chute down!

We can but hope that this is the final tree shake before some kind of return here.

Good luck to all certificated investors, extreme misfortune to all CFD SB'ers and CREST clowns!
