Really at a crucial junction now need to clear this with conviction.

BT can always strike any deal it wants in its own time.
It is being forced to share its assets at low prices that deters investment.
risk/reward becomes a deterrent.

I know we all love Branson and Virgin and would be delighted if BT invest billions into fibre, then hand it over to Virgin/sky for next to nothing.

To save every road in the country being dug up by five different companies?

Obviously BTopenreach would be charge rivals a handsome price for use of the infrastructure. Just as Network Rail charges train companies to use its tracks.

good news yesterday.
Ofcom has abandoned plans to force BT Openreach to allow telecom rivals to connect to connect its own equipment to its network from March 2019.
Follows industry wrangling and a court defeat by Openreach.

This is in todays Daily Telegraph.
makes sense, why should BT invest millions in fibre then hand it over to rivals?
