Predicted yesterday this would rise . While watching the sells yesterday knew that i was going to sell with the expected news at this share City mix .would think there are some who sold not so pleased to see so many buyers moving back in again .

I'm not sure I care if it's a pump and dump.

But I do think it's all about the leather now, I think the meat is a bit of a busted flush.

For me, take up of CityMix has been disappointing and the demand for meat alternatives is in question. The fact that BSFA have been trying to sell CityMix for >6 months, with excursions to the USA and trials announced back in March, suggests that it's not really wanted. And reading between the lines, the only 'contracts' to date suggest they're pretty much giving it away.

However the leather is promising but still 5 years away from any revenue. It doesn't have the same approval problems or societal objections as the meat. And they say they have a "household fashion brand" on board. Although how such a leaky ship with so many insiders hasn't blurted this out yet is a mystery. And why the fashion brand doesn't want to be named is another mystery. Usually companies can't wait to say they're involved in a project that's good for the planet, animal welfare etc. Of course there's no guarantees that this fashion house will be happy with it, it's just being evaluated at the moment. But if it all goes to plan this could be a nice earner in the future. As long as high end consumers don't mind their handbag being made from fake leather made in a lab. This point can't be underestimated, like the objections to fake meat. But there should still be enough demand elsewhere, such as car seats that require large swathes of perfect leather. Although such large swathes will take even longer to perfect as the current sample is just 10cm x 10cm.

As for the biotech and corneas, they may bear fruit, but again some way off. And it's still very unclear as to where we are with this.

So I agree it is still a jam tomorrow share at the moment and talk of huge rerates etc will have to wait (imho) until there is a sustainable revenue stream. That's when the institutions will come on board and propel it higher by cancelling out the traders. Until then it'll spike up and down on news and the odd pump and dump.
