Last day of trading for BWNG. It's been a long and bumpy ride, from a high of 451p almost exactly ten years ago to a low of 10p in 2020. Glad it's over. |

Interesting comment in the Frasers Group RNS this morning: "At 40 pence per N Brown share, Frasers would have been a willing buyer or a willing seller."
On the one hand 40p was the price to get this done with Frasers, and on the other looks like they consider BWNG has value above that amount. |
Crafty way of avoiding IHT imho |
A result for me as I'm fully loaded here but 40p is theft IMVHO. Surprised Frasers would accept. Whatever, was an easy one for the patient value hunter. |

The Scheme Document will be available at before 12 noon on Fri 18 Oct.
Correction: Scheme Document to be available with 28 days of the announcement. |
Early 2025 |
Do we know what the timeline looks like for the buyout? Is it normally quick? |
Thanks Jon,, |
By selling today in the market you lose 5%+ definitely. That's a very good return, given how short a time you have to wait.
It's highly unlikely the offer will be withdrawn given the circumstances. |
@gripfit: "And if you sell now, CGT lower than it might be."
Definitely not!! You will receive cash in your account, if you don't sell first in the market, in a few weeks, i.e. in the current 24-25 tax year.
So in the same tax year as a sale today in the market.
And, btw, any CGT change will be for the NEXT tax year, not the current one. |
What you may now see is a 'Judges Scientific' appearing, and mopping up several bombed out smaller good companies into any AIM wide sell off. Possibly the sort of thing that a Vin Murria type of business person could be ready for too. |
