Best of luck Pete, but I am happy to hold given the outlook. |
Somewhat reluctantly I've just sold out at 999 after 4 or so years here. It's been a quick recovery rally coming a long way in a relatively short time. I'm going to keep an eye on it though, and may well be back. |
Deutsche Bank cuts Britvic to 'hold' (buy) - price target 1,080 (1,040) pence |
Splendid :-) |
Good results this morning plus a £75m share buyback over the next 12 months. Always been a pretty highly geared financial operation but it's never stopped the Board from flashing the cash. I suppose you get used to anything if you have to live with it for long enough! The balance sheet always looks a bit stretched to me and the share buyback won't reduce the tension. Anyway, trading looks to be pretty solid at the moment and I cant see any overpowering reason to sell my long-held position. |
Pete160. Great fireworks and what is not to like with those numbers. Great outlook from here. |

The big FMCG companies have all shown pretty decent results of late due to big price rises offsetting sales declines. As the price increases come to an end will they be able to reignite volume growth at new much higher price points? I'm interested in Britvic as they have more room to expand both product and market wise. I will most likely set a limit order around the 765 level and see what happens next week. |
Seems to be a never ending drift down to me.
Chartwise, support at 760p then 710p |
It wuld be good if these new products set the pulses racing a bit as the share price has been flat of late and needs a booster. |

Orwa Mohamad, Analyst at Third Bridge says of Britvic:
“Britvic is over the worst of raw material inflation and the impact of the cost of living. They managed to protect margins by increasing prices and adjusting recipes without facing backlash from customers.”
"Britvic should pay attention to low- and no-alcohol, as well as alcohol alternatives. This segment is poised to directly compete with the soft drink industry, particularly within the hospitality sector.
“The soft drink market's growth is still largely driven by carbonates and cola. Our experts say energy drinks present another compelling growth opportunity to explore. While Britvic's Rockstar brand is a strong contender, surpassing Red Bull and Monster remains a formidable challenge.
"Purdey could potentially carve out a niche in the evolving market landscape. Its natural product aligns with the growing trend of health awareness.
“Coke and private labels pose the greatest competitive threat to Britivic.” |
Good update. This is one of my longest held shares :-) |
In line with expectations and growth as expected. No shocks, hopefully no sell off this morning with profit taking. This is a solid company and I am happy to hold for the long term. |
