14/2/2007 10:52 | see the following article which is more fair in its comments. | carer
14/2/2007 10:37 | 100%, in fact 1000%, with you carer. You just have to read the papers/watch the tele to see where all this is going. I don't think the government will off load their shares until they can see safety for the company long term. The country needs nuclear and BGY is the biggest player in that market. It's a Warren Buffett perfect investment in my opinion. Trying to find the bottom is impossible, and only luck if you get it. Give this time and investors will be handsomely rewarded, in my opinion. This was a darling a few months ago; they have had a few management issues, some boiler problems, and a dip in electricty prices in the future, and bang the share price gets hammered. The only possible issue is the electricity price, but long term I think we will be ok because of the climate/political issue - that is not going away. Carbon emitter's will be taxed in some way possibly, in my view. Time..... | peart
14/2/2007 10:16 | This is a bit of temporary disaster in terms of share price. However, the nuclear industry will be around for a long time. The government can not afford not to support it given the climate change and carbon emmission. I am sure nuclear will become big again. It is a strategic investment if you are pattient enough. | carer
14/2/2007 09:08 | space, I think you did the right thing. You will be able to buy back a lot cheaper. I think I read somewhere the reason for the fall is, the government is planning to sell its shares. I would have thought they would waited until they had announced the building of new plants. Unless they wanted to sell them so BGY got taken over by the French. That would help Blair to get his presidency of the EU | bpoole
14/2/2007 09:00 | Closed most of my long position for a - 30 point hit....OUCH GRRRRRRRR....Rick | spacemoggy
14/2/2007 08:48 | Sat69 - I agree with the article that there will be a recovery. You normally get a bounce and its due one | kevinlinus38
14/2/2007 08:37 | While the government sits on the fence re: nuclear wanting to pump the 'green way'. [a way to gain more tax and gain votes]. This will suffer. AIMO. pc | pc4900074200
14/2/2007 08:25 | I think this is over reaction. I believe there will be new Nuclear plants and they will no doubt be more efficient producers of electricity than those that were built in 1976. I don't know, but that must make the newer plants more profitable to combat lower electricty prices moving forward. I don't see electricty prices lower for the long term. I think we are in at a good entry point here, and that longer term we will be handsomely rewarded. | peart
14/2/2007 08:25 | rock bottom now back to 2003 - 2004 levels now 393 | banny3
