volatility of BATS it moved 0.35% today now that's volatile and if it moved to £34 i would never sell because everyone must want it |
I have been very surprised by the volatility of BATS. The PI% is low so it is mostly owned by Institutions.
I don’t think they are owning it for shares prospects but for its Dividends and so to them it is quasi Gilt.
I had this share as a ‘forever’; holding but now I am not so sure. If/when it reaches £34 I will be out. Tom |
Results tomorrow. |
Can't keep a good stock down for long, bears having a good go though. |
And up she goes!
Defensives paying big dividends are the name of the game now |
#Redbarron.., waiting, waiting, who will blink 1st.. :o)

I agree on GLEN.I have it for the dividend still but sold my RIO as i see the economic situation globally is going to deteriorate further before getting better.China's in a mess with its housing and government stimulus there looks a way off.The dollar index is mid range in its 52 week at 104 (high of 107 low of 100) but not looking at mining outside of gold miners until interest rates start falling in the US and the dollar starts weakening. When that will be who knows. |
My view on Glenclore not touching it until 385p. |
2710p in my view a certainty before div pay day, 2nd August. We know how quick Bats run up when it's on a roll. |
Looks like the top of the channel from March at 2600, but if it keeps pushing forward, that is fine by me.. :o) |
PM results good regarding NGP growth.BATS profitable a year ahead of schedule on theirs so Thursday should make interesting reading...hopefully.The illegal Chinese imports of vapes is going to have an affect one feels. |
Monty GKEN 432.50 today. Any views? |
Good to see they had their shareholders best interests in mind back then MCunliffe 1 and were not giving away the company profits 😂
Good luck all 👍🏻 |
That is a bummer.. |
A quick question.. how is the British American Tobacco shareholders meeting? Do they serve drinks afterwards? I would like to travel abroad for it.. however; it should have some social “drinking̶1; activity involved. |
Enjoy the ride I have 2710p pencil in, if all the stars align. |
BAT STACK INT ITC INDIA 25.5% after recent sale of 3.5% |
When buybacks and bulls get on the same page, should have a great run. Bears have been toast last 10 days.Pay day 2nd August, then only 13 weeks until the next one. |
We know how quickly Bats can rise and fall of course, but May 22 run to 3500p virtually not stopping, nothing goes up in a straight line 2 steps forward 1 back. |
Steady progress towards 3000 pence indeed, buys at 22/2300 now looking well timed indeed.. :o)
The chart looks pretty close to the next zig-zap in the channel though, so a few more bumps in the road ahead.. |
All looking good for £30 a few bumps on the way up a few shares less from divi but the capital is growing can't have it both ways |
I wish we were paying less for our reinvested dividends to be honest |
2nd August dividend reinvestment, I bet we will be paying 2650p. |
