I just emailed the complaint email at hl and it bounced back email domain unrecognised and I did double check to make sure the email was spelt correctly. I think they've blocked it as so many people complaining |
I've has an account with hl since 2009 and interest on cash held has always been allocated on 9th of month for over 14 years and now it has failed are they having problems ashflow wise is my first instinct as they may be losing client base as people moving funds to the free trading platforms that are paying good monthly interestlike yours Monty
Thanks for replying guys |
Not had mine either |
I'm with ii, interest accrued daily paid monthly on time, 3.75% not to bad. |
Seems like no one has a HL account with cash? |
Tell me LLB, DGE is a very poor performer in my stable. £10k bought at 3232 on 15th August 2023. Just under £60 divi's since then. Might help if my holding got me a discount on a pint of the Black Stuff ;-) |
#JJ, premium/luxury is getting a pasting right now, BUT rates will come back, and shoppers will be treating themselves again when they do..
BRBY goes XD for 42.7 pence next week could offer up an opportunity IF the inflation data 19th, BOE decision 20th and outlook for a cut looks more likely on 01st August..?
DGE looks cheap at 2600 pence now too and well off the highs of 4000 just two years ago.. |
The dividend is top notch
But I asked the question in an earlier post
How can I find out how the initial share buyback is going bearing in mind it started at a canter went to a fast trot but has now tailed off to a fairground carousel ride and like said ride staying in the one place.
Expensive or Luxury items seem to be coming under a bit of pressure at the moment think Burberry Diageo et al Ex dividend can t come soon enough from my end. |
Has anyone had their monthly interest on cash held on account with HL. it's gone in on 9th of month for last 2 years but it's now a week late.
Anyone know why ? |
Look at that 1 year chart. It's practically magnetised to 2380p. You could draw a line through that point and it's just bounced up and down around it. |
Another nice quarterly dividend tax free in the isa bag.I don't worried about shares up 15p down 15p as long as dividend paid and increases, also buybacks until end of 2025 not end of 2024. |
To be precise xd is 27 June for a divi of 58.8795p.
There is no price that a share "should be" imo. You often see this sort of comment but it's just wishful thinking, a figure people would like to see because it suits them. But in fact there's only the fluctuating current market price, take it or leave it. |
Ex-div is end of June. |
Should be 2450p atleast with July exd in month. |
Up in a Down market. What is wrong with you ACTION ? |
This stuck below 2400p. What is wrong. |
Would you look at that every post been down ticked apart from the one with the link to the miserable music now who could be the down ticker?? |
Buybacks continuing at rock bottom prices which is excellent medium to long term |
Yep, the phantom downticker reveals themselves once again!! :) |
Gecko: thanks for the info. I couldn't work out what Nb675 was promoting - so basically ignored it anyway as he/she/it is the phantom down-ticker. |
U.S. crackdown on illegal e-cigarettes, JUUL development, and bullish analyst vibes
The tobacco sector has been busy over the last few weeks as value and dividend investors take a harder look at potential consumer staples stocks in general.
There have also been some major regulatory developments. The Justice Department and U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced on Monday the creation of a federal multi-agency task force to combat the illegal distribution and sale of e-cigarettes. Along with the FDA and the Justice Department, the task force will bring together multiple law enforcement partners, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; U.S. Marshals Service; U.S. Postal Inspection Service; and Federal Trade Commission to coordinate and streamline efforts to bring all available criminal and civil tools to bear against the illegal distribution, and sale of e-cigarettes, vapes, and other electronic nicotine delivery system responsible for nicotine addiction among American youth.
"Unauthorized e-cigarettes and vaping products continue to jeopardize the health of Americans — particularly children and adolescents — across the country," stated Acting Associate Attorney General Benjamin Mizer.
The 2023 National Youth Tobacco Survey found that about 2.1 million youths reported currently using e-cigarettes, which reflects a considerable decline from 5.3 million youth in 2019. However, 10% of high school students and almost 5% of middle school students reported currently using e-cigarettes, and more than 1 in 4 of those e-cigarette users reported daily e-cigarette use. Manufacturers, distributors, and retailers were noted to market a wide range of products that appeal directly to school-age users, such as candy and fruit flavors, some of which come in devices designed to be easily concealed.
The FDA has authorized the sale of 23 specific tobacco-flavored e-cigarette products and devices to date. These are the only e-cigarette products that currently may be lawfully marketed and sold in the United States.
Also of note, the FDA said last week it was rescinding the market denial order issued to JUUL in 2022 based on new information and case law.
Looking at Wall Street's latest breakdowns on the tobacco sector, Bank of America recently reiterated a Buy rating on Philip Morris International (NYSE:PM) due to robust recent performances from IQOS and ZYN and the overall resilience of the company's combustible business. The firm also has a bull rating on British American Tobacco (BTI) on the expectation for long-term mid-single digit growth driven by NGP potential, U.S. volume improvement, and a high free cash flow yield. |
Seen higher lows on chart which is positive |
The part high cash flows I like. |
