16/7/2013 15:50 | danieldruff2 NO they are talking about a bid of around 27p once thare is an official bid then you may be right. My feeling is that they have got an answer from the market that 27p will not be enough. | parsons
16/7/2013 14:54 | I'm trying to recall the takeover rules - if Markerstudy have bid at 27p are they barred from buying any stock on market at over 27p? | ![]() danieldruff2
16/7/2013 14:30 | It looks to me that the market is quite happy to take stock at 27.5p. It seems sensible to hang on for a higher bid. | parsons
16/7/2013 13:46 | If you read: www.postonline.co.uk It says: Humphreys, pictured, told Post in February that the insurer moved because "one or two well known consolidators" were considering a Brightside bid. That does make me wonder if they've tabled 27p just to flush out as many shares as they can as a quick way to increase their percentage. Maybe they got a whiff of somebody else about to have a pop. We're already over the 27p offer. | ![]() danieldruff2
16/7/2013 13:25 | As noted above, if the board here accepts 27p -- having 6 months ago been saying that we think we should be trading in the 30s -- then imo that's a serious breach of their duties to the company and the shareholders. However, with the relationship that BRT already has with Markerstudy, i see this as a risk. | ![]() gargoyle2
16/7/2013 13:18 | For those who don't recall hxxp://www.pactivein put ro after p in proactive and replace xx with tt Seems to be an amicable relationship between the two co's which can be interpreted both ways | el1te
16/7/2013 13:07 | Does anybody know who Markerstudy are and why did the board not straight away reject the offer as too low ? | parsons
16/7/2013 12:33 | Can't believe Markerstudy think they can get this for 27p - surely not. I'm in shipping broker ACMG which had a similar RNS offer for 175p last year (at a 20% premium) - eventually board came out with a rejection saying they were worth a lot more and nothing further happened. They're now trading around 175p ... nothing to stop people putting in cheeky offers but hopefully it will be repulsed. | ![]() danieldruff2
16/7/2013 12:23 | FC 2013 EPS: 3p, Div: 0.6p FC 2014 EPS: 3.3p, Div: 0.7p Markerstudy indicative offer: 27p per share. Bit odd. | fugwit

16/7/2013 10:41 | Lots of buying at 27p. Wonder if that's Markerstudy buying in the market? | ![]() gargoyle2

16/7/2013 10:15 | Didn't the previous CEO leave the company with a view to putting together a deal to take the company private? | timp230
16/7/2013 10:15 | 27p would be outrageous. There was a Brightside video a few months back (I'm sure the link is on here) where the CEO said that he thought the share price really deserved to be in the 30s. There is no way an offer of 27p should even be considered. | ![]() gargoyle2
16/7/2013 10:02 | Looks as if the Market is ignoring it. All very strange, share price now less than the indicated offer price | pj 1
16/7/2013 09:58 | Had a quick glance Year 2010 Share Price 25p Pre Tax Profit £ 10 million (give or take) 2013 PTP £19 million?? Offer 27p? Does not make any sense IMO | pj 1
16/7/2013 09:52 | Yes, 27p is derisory for this business. At 35p I'd feel ripped off, but 27p is daft and should be rejected out of hand. | ![]() b3842517
16/7/2013 09:49 | One word Speculative 27p? Laughable imo | pj 1
16/7/2013 08:39 | Some good volume continuing here. This should really be trading in the 30s imo. | ![]() gargoyle2
15/7/2013 15:22 | No serious pull back in the share price. | ![]() this_is_me
14/7/2013 18:39 | Are they plugging in to Experian credit scoring systems? I actually did the Experian to back office connection work for a major retailer a while back - took about a month to code & test, full project probably took 3-4 months. | ![]() danieldruff2
14/7/2013 18:33 | The tie up with Asda makes a lot of sense. Customers who are on a tight budget are more likely to require the Panacea Finance option as well. I am supprised though that there has been no new news about the completion of the credit scoring systems or any extra underwriting capacity. Does anyone know if there have been any recent updates on this? | ![]() 0rb1t
13/7/2013 21:36 | Always jobs going at Brightside but a very high number at the moment - 25 hxxp://www.insidebri A couple are to do with Asda / Affinity, and another with Panacea Finance ... all suggests they are still growing at a good pace. | ![]() danieldruff2
12/7/2013 23:30 | Stayed just above the previous trading range to close the week ahead. | ![]() this_is_me |
