11/2/2013 14:40 | I think the number is only half that , ie half buys half sells. | stegrego
11/2/2013 14:24 | According to last weeks RNS, Banks and his wife still collectively owned circa 55m shares, so todays volume must indicate that they are being taken out by one or more institutions. If one or more of the bigger institutional holders were selling then it is more likely that the price would have been affected by some degree unless they were just effectively incestuously recycling some shares between themselves. We should see an RNS covering todays trades within the next couple of days and if Banks is finally out then we could see some re-rating of the shares over the next few weeks. Edit 14.30: Another 30.3m shares have just gone through so there must be some institutional action today too - so 85.6m, or circa 19% of the shares in issue, have already been traded today | masurenguy
11/2/2013 12:38 | If i was a betting man (which im not) Id be betting that the volume is Banks' holding being transferred to a few insti's. | stegrego
11/2/2013 10:40 | CC LOL.....At least Volume's picked up!! | pj 1
08/2/2013 22:15 | Guess the selling has stopped for now then. Chart showing a steady year long uptrend and fundamentals good. | count chris
08/2/2013 18:25 | Nice jump today despite the potential share overhang. | this_is_me
08/2/2013 14:29 | More solid buying today. | gargoyle2
07/2/2013 10:45 | Lots of buying here today. Up till today you've been able to buy pretty large quantities at not far off the mid-price. There's now nothing available below the ask price, and only around 28k at that price too. Due a tick up? | gargoyle2
05/2/2013 20:45 | Gargoyle2 I feel the same, I guess you have read all the news, rumours and personal issues Mr Banks has. The company is under valued, I'm holding and buying. | stevetk
05/2/2013 15:47 | I've been buying some more of these. The 60k at 21.6p at 14:29 is mine. We know the company is trading well and is on a low valuation. Edison puts fair value around 50% higher than the current share price. Yes, there's a seller around (Banks I assume), but I reckon we should be taking advantage of that. At some stage he's going to stop, and the share price can get to where it should be. | gargoyle2
04/2/2013 11:54 | considering the share sales the stock has held up pretty well..... | trytotakeiteasy
04/2/2013 10:37 | No answers really; just happened to spot the story when looking for something else. | briangeeee
01/2/2013 20:35 | Old story. | briangeeee
01/2/2013 19:18 | Wonder if they will keep selling. Might be painfull for a while but could create a good buying oppertunity and draw a line under things somewhat | count chris
01/2/2013 18:47 | nw99 - 1 Feb'13 - 215: Like the company but hear there is a big seller out there Todays RNS confirmed that the Arron Banks & his wife disposed of 19m shares over the past 7 months. | masurenguy
01/2/2013 18:34 | Like the company but hear there is a big seller out there | nw99
01/2/2013 18:31 | Hmmm. I assume from the tone that the Banks have divorced? Certainly a bid isn't on the cards from him, but I wasn't really expecting one. Would just like the shares to rerate. The Company today announces that further to the substantial shareholding announcement made by the Company on 29th January 2013 it has received further clarification from Mr Arron Banks on his shareholding in the Company. On 14 July 2011, Mr A Banks announced he owned 69,547,936 ordinary shares of 1 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") representing 15.2 per cent. of the total issued share capital of the Company. Following this announcement, Mr Banks transferred a portion of his holding to Mrs E Banks. Both Mr A Banks and Mrs E Banks subsequently sold Ordinary Shares. Mr Banks has today informed the Company of the following: - he no longer controls or has any interest in the Ordinary Shares held by Mrs E Banks; - on 24 January 2013, 25 January 2013 and 29 January 2013 he sold 3,100,000 Ordinary Shares Mr Banks now owns and directly controls 33,892,936 Ordinary Shares, representing 7.43 per cent. of the total issued share capital of the Company. Mr Banks is also interested in, via his directorship and shareholding in Southern Rock Insurance Company Limited, a further 3,800,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.83 per cent. of the total issued share capital of the Company. Mrs E Banks has today informed the Company that on 24 January 2013 she sold 1,500,000 Ordinary Shares. Following this sale, Mrs Banks is interested in 16,580,000 Ordinary Shares representing 3.63% of the total issued share capital of the Company | stegrego

31/1/2013 12:54 | No action today. | this_is_me
30/1/2013 18:33 | There seems to be a glitch on the ADVFN trades for yesterday. | this_is_me
30/1/2013 11:55 | What seems strange is that we really don't know why Arron Banks left abruptly... was he pushed or did he jump.. the company simply hasn't disclosed this.. now he is selling his stock which also wasn't disclosed properly.... suggests maybe there was a falling out..... I think it is indisputable that the previous CEO left abruptly as apparently voting forms to re-elect him had his name on for the AGM... but this was altered at the last minute.... It appears to have been a smooth transition and not issues at Brightside so far but I just don't understand why he left firstly.. and secondly if the company is so cheap why he is selling down his holding.... Broadly, I would say worth holding on but a lot of unanswered questions as is usual with small companies.. so best to be diversified and hope nothing comes out of the wood work.. | trytotakeiteasy
29/1/2013 18:14 | Looks like 5 large trades - totalling 7.75m shares at around the midprice - reported after the close. I wonder whether this mornings RNS has flushed out some more stock from Arron Banks. Whether it was him, or someone else, it would appear that the stock was immediately picked up by another buyer. | masurenguy
29/1/2013 16:51 | thx pjs I wasn't aware of his position relative to Banks and the company, apologies. It just looked a bit odd that they both went in the space of a month, June last year. It's very undervalued, i think everyone sees that but when you get these director spats they can drag on for sometime. As i said good luck if you're holding. WC | woodcutter
29/1/2013 16:10 | Woody FYI - Leslie Hughes is a founder / Director of Hughes and Co (One of the largest brokers in Northern Ireland) He and a co director Jim Bowers both assisted in the setting up of the original Brightside business (Commercial Vehicle Direct) hence his position on the board - They provided advice and acted as guarantors only - As far as I am aware Mr Hughes still has a good working relationship with the board members of Brightside although no longer on the main board - I have no reason to believe that he would be anything other than supportive of the Board and the Company - Cheers | pjs01 |
