Posted at 17/4/2024 16:28 by arthur_lame_stocks Peter Gyllenhammar is a Swedish value investor who typically buys large stakes in small caps trading at a steep discount to TNAV and then tries to realise value. I don't know what he sees in this though and I'm surprised he hasn't already moved to 'harvest' Quentin. |
Posted at 04/4/2024 09:09 by chrisdgb Classic value investor, no representation but he usually pushes for change.. |
Posted at 02/8/2023 23:14 by chop50 Not meant to reflect an effect at least not short term.just a news post that should perhaps be viewed as a comparative performance target for what were once successful comparative brands fighting for market share, where clearly the inventors/investors of Bondi Sands took a very different and seemingly lucrative pathway with that product. Just an opinion. |
Posted at 06/9/2022 00:34 by chop50 And it goes from bad to worse for us long suffering investors that had IDP stock...first a massive (all relative of course) loss of stock in the conversion and now this for the issued shares in BAR. Dismal. |
Posted at 27/8/2022 21:15 by chop50 Mark Ward was the large investor and director who essentially "took over" IDP.He funded a loan if I recall correctly, suppose he lost some funds on those investments. The "deal" meant the post IDP takeover arrangements. All directors got exited except Pyper who was retained into BAR board. That seemed to be the arrangement at the time |
Posted at 03/8/2022 09:00 by gleach23 Interesting to see Peter Gyllenhammar has quickly built up a 9.34% stake - an activist investor who likes to acquire greater than 25% stakes (to be able to block special resolutions) in troubled companies. His initial 3.59% stake was only announced on 30th June. |
Posted at 02/7/2022 10:47 by chop50 Work behind the scenes for some advantage to their investors for some reason? |
Posted at 02/7/2022 03:01 by chop50 Edale were a large early investor in InnovaDerma if I recall. And an agitator for a board position. "Rupert" someone was the name that comes to mind as the main person behind Edale Capital. |
Posted at 16/3/2022 10:55 by dipike Still no interim report for FY22 - and the Financial Calendar on its website is a year out of date. If they can't keep the basic investor info on their website up-to-date, it makes you wonder how they run the company internally. Late interims usually have bad news.... |
Posted at 19/3/2021 12:56 by countryman5 Simon Thompson, Investors Chronicl write up in Friday magazine, which usually gets read over weekend. |
