Is no problem if you can do that and forget your losses...everyone has losses as well as gains...we all know that.

stu,
Christ he may be right
But my point is he hasn't sussed that himself. He stole that take from Zak or some other poster
johndee is no chartist he is clueless. And you will realise as much over the coming weeks/months.
He is another who always gets it right time after time. He has never done a bad buy

Yes, we are back with the Great Jubilee Platinum Request Show. First up we have Jubilee Platinum which yesterday bounced off the floor of a rising trend channel in place since April. The 3 month support line runs through 32p, something which suggests that while above this level on an end of day close stop loss basis the upside is at least a third visit to the now mysteriously important 60p resistance zone. The likelihood is that we could overshoot on this occasion to the top of the post April channel at 70p.

Well, that just illustrates my point about the volatility in the JLP share price There is a lot of speculative trading going on (one of the reasons I exited in the past) particularly in a blue sky company fuelled by rumour and sentiment rather than performance fundamentals. This inevitably results in a roller coaster ride in the shorter term as opposed to the potential production outcome in the longer term !

judijudi - exactly - the tenor of recent newsflow gave absolutely no indication that there were current problems/issues that could have resulted in a potential liquidation/administration of the company !

Whilst we all must accept responsibility for our own investment decisions I am amazed that WD still shows up unabashed and still patronizing other posters after her various 'authoratative' pronouncements on the company over the past few years !

Tom and Zak on Jubilee Platinum*
I had a long chat with Colin Bird of Jubilee Platinum* (JLP) and also the directors of soon to be bought Braemore this morning. I believe that the market has missed the true import of this deal in a big way. The first point is that from October, Jubilee will be generating cash. This will ramp up next year as its tailings operation starts to come into play. Thus Jubilee has, at a stroke, moved itself to a position where it can be self funding as it moves Tjate towards production. This is vital. It is now no longer reliant on fickle investors to move forward. Secondly it will now have smelter capacity meaning that when Tjate is onstream it does not have to strike unpleasant deals with the majors. I need to work hard on getting numbers together as to what the enlarged group is worth and will do that on 24th July when Bird gets back from South Africa and comes in to the office here to record a webcast. But the target price will be a multiple of today's price. Stance: Buy.

Zak does not talk to companies but his reading of the squiggles just out on Zaks-TA.com is as follows:

Mas,
And not only that it looks like they were forced to make that decision or face going under. All this despite the Rosy RNS's

What wrong with 12 pence..........no one invested all their money at 24 pence surely they have been astute enough to buy at various prices and averaged around the 3 or 4 pence mark.

stucom - 10 Jul'09 - 08:19 - 19278 of 19280: mas,did you hold/sell brr?

I still have a holding here - was tempted to sell on the recent spike to 7p (ce la vie) but like many others here assumed that a takeover in the 10p - 12p range could be on the cards based on the positive newsflow that had been emanating from the company since April.

"stupid posters who worried about nothing"
BRR currently trading at 2.4p!

And when JLP are worth £2.00 your BRR shares will equate to 12p ish

WOW!!

Hey don't forget to do a double knot on your shoelaces. We don't want you tripping over again in the playground

I laugh at people who have no experience in the markets and worry about a few thousand pounds they happen to be down.............wake up this is not about making easy money in the short term its about having the longer term and accepting the changes the financial world throws at us from time to time.....most of you lot will be well gone in a few months time when the rest of us are seeing the price of JLP well over £2....BRR will be a distant memory then and we who are left will look back at this time and laugh at you stupid posters on this thread who worried about nothing.

the poet -

At the same event as the Braemore presentation you mention, Dr Larry Cramer presented the following:

"What's your PGM concentrate worth?"

This sets out in great detail the variability, range of measures and projected pipeline involved in setting a price for concentrate purchased by the smelters/refiners. It also makes the point that every concentrate is different, and will be priced differently.

Also, I am not sure why you quote Sylvania figures? The Sylvania operations produce concentrate, and their costs relate only to that production - nothing to do with smelting or refining. Their concentrate is under offtake to one of the majors.

Its an idiot who posts things like 'cant go wrong' and '100% certain the deal will go through' etc. You leave yourself wide open with comments like that. Nothing is certain in investing.
