PE of 13/14, huge growth potential from very experienced team, and unlike some other small software houses involved in the financial sector Brady have a growing cash pile. Decided to add too as some of the trades appear a bit odd today. Maybe the company will be able to put some more flesh on the bones at their next AGM scheduled for mid. May, I think. Fidelity seem happy to hold, and my own thoughts are that eventually Brady will be bought-out by a much larger house that wants to further X sell into their existing and growing quality customer list. Having floated I think at about 82p the last company results suggests a higher rating is bothy deserved, and earned...DYOR

Well you do the digging Cortez. So do I. You are quite right, putting together RNS 16 Aug 04 and RNS 11 Nov 04 gives 27.9m shares in issue which is a damn sight more than the average 23.37m shares used for their eps calculations. BRY will need to work hard just to hold their ground this year. What I dont know is how many more options (around 25/30p) are still outstanding.

Always we get this.....

'Weighted average number of ordinary shares used for diluted earnings per share 24,580,331 20,635,997......'

.....when in fact there are now 27.9 shares now in issue. Using this figure I get eps net profit/shares =1.43/27.9 = 5.1p, 105/5.1 = pe 20.6....as a conservative. Anyone know the sector average or where I can access?

'Operating profit 193% up at £1,780,478 (2003: £608,631)'

Turnover/Continuing operations 4.720m 2.386m total 2.334m = 2.334m
Cost of sales 451k 147k total (304k) = 2.030m
Administrative expenses 2.600m 1.630m total (0.97m)= 1.6m

So not sure where £1,780,478 comes from (accounting skills not great, appreciate 180k not much but would like to know).

(Increase)/decrease in debtors (1,192,404). Does that mean 1.192m of the 'cash' is owed?
Also Net cash inflow from operating activities 566,022 1,578,170 is well down. Something to do with debtors?

Comments welcome, I'm no expert, just attracted by the growth.

This is now going to start appearing on a whole load more peoples' REFS pages as one of the cheapest growth stocks around. Hunting PLC appeared last week at 2 quid and they are now 2.47 and rising.

Mkt cap 27mm. Take of 4mm cash (15% of mkt cap) gives a shareprice of 89p. Divide by 6p gives PE of 14.8. Also, if you take off the interest income (since you're taking off the cash, you get EPS of 5.6p giving a PE of 15.9

Results not quite as good as they seem. Actual shares now in issue 25523, which puts diluted eps at 5.4p. Note RNS 7 Oct 04, the directors did very well, but where is the "institutional demand" today ?

How do you get that? 6p EPS (adjusted diluted) gives a PE of 15 if you take the cash off.

In for 10,000 delayed buy cracking set of results, 5 mill in the bank discount to cash tradeing at 22 million which is a pe of 10x current earnings, and probably something like a pe of 7 on 2005 earnings, imho this has a long way to go

Also "The group's operating margin increased to 36.8 per cent."

That's one hell of a margin, up from 25.5%

Markets can be perverse, but this company looks pretty impressive in every department. Presentation this morning should help but one can see why Fidelity were keen to take an initial sizeable stake a few months back. Outlook very up=beat....

Sure the maiden figures will be looked at carefully to see scope for further up-lift in profits as the market sector in which Brady are a key leader is experiencing tremendous growth. The application of their software is unique and client base is pretty impressive and likely to expand over coming years. Company may give us an insight into future trends, but again it is a very selective/specialist market in which they operate, although the value and following Brady will attract is growing (high profile Institutions already taking interest), hopefully. A clean balance sheet and excellent cash-flow with good profit margins will make the release of the figures quite key.

Results should be out fairly soon, and hopefully will give added confidence that their software has tremendous growth opportunities in the wider application and huge volume commodities sector. Company appears to have first class image/respect in its field and margins make for increasing profits with experienced and sound management from what I can see.
