Evidence! They've laid a strategy out which is based on taking value from LTHs and handing it to themselves. It's theft by any other word!

Also - the point of my post is that Billy is unnecessarily taking a bashing not vice versa!.

And the evidence that they are spivs is where? Why do you feel the need to bash them without evidence, at least they are probably concentrating on the job in hand, is BA?

Instead of commending Allen for what is a great project, some posters feel the need to bash him.

Its great that Allen has managed to attract such a large amount of capital to encourage social renewal in that part of Scotland. Bravo.

He's a more decent and trustworthy bloke than those Monaco spivs, or that is how i have found him thus far. IMO.

Good to see that our chairman, who some on here want to support is completely focused on the best for the company and its shareholders

Argos what I was stating is that you said 250 mill you should of known it was 170 mill being invested at that time I take it. The old bod obviously had the fingers in the tills with regards bonomo and everything will come out in wash but I suppose clever accounting will hide any misdemeanor...

J,

I've already stated I sold out of BLVN before the first vote, I didn't fancy either outcome, so selling was the right thing to do for me.

Re: Bonomo, the decision to soul-risk the drills was a horrendous mistake and has cost the company over $90m for 2 wells that were supposed to come in about $15m, someone should have been held accountable for the massive overspend but that didn't happen, so COC have stepped in, had the company been run more prudently, they wouldn't be where they are now.

By the way I thought you was invested in blvn. Farm out of etinde to luk oil was a cash payment of 170mill then 40 mill in drips and drabs the rest is a carry on future wells.

If that's directed at me Jayrh, to be honest, if I was still holding, I'd be more concerned about what happened to the rest of the $250m and what there is to show for it!

Shak - Who says they're going?

I'm sure they have a plan otherwise they towel would have been thrown in by now.

IMO - COC will steal more stationary than Billy.

le_comthat was discussed over and over, the board were so bad people would take anyone, even mickeyyou say that like its a bad thing, it is no stretch to suggest the board would have wasted the last of the cash in the next year or so, you saw what we got for 100m at bomono -effectively what we sold 40% of etinde fornobody made any promises about coc, most didnt expect any, it was a jump in the dark, for those who could see where we were going

le_comm,

Anyone with any doubt about the old board was always going to see them in their true light once the gravy train had ended.

I don't expect them to go quietly, or cheaply. I hope there's a good lock on the stationary cupboard.

It says a lot about how bad the BLVN board have been that anyone could trot along and get support for their removal.

Meanwhile, all manner of AIM junk is trading at twice BLVN levels with a fraction of the assets. They generally have a good story, though ... that's AIM for you.

Read again. It is not 'COC' who the crowd where interested in. It was that they wanted the BoD out and would have voted for a castrated donkey with hairy warts as long as it would carry on buying the stock.

I benefited from the the 50% so i am not knocking that aspect of it.
We would have waited until 2018 to see the price we sold at so that result of the activist takeout was much appreciated.

I simply do not like bad business ethics when average joe shareholders are involved, hence our 33% on the CBM float to be able to ward off what is slowly becoming an all too familar story with AIM co's.

Hart may be the markets largest sloth but he is a saint compared to Lenigas or Landau.

le_comm,

I have never believed that COC were in this for the long term - I just think their plan is one that BLVN should have focused on after the Etinde farm-out - it's one I advocated at the time.

I have yet to see any evidence that COC will steal assets for themselves using patsy directors, which was the implication given by the Board.

Billy has shown his true colours, meanwhile, I'm afraid. If he'd adjusted to the new reality, he could have stayed and made sure that everything was on the level.
