I completely agree with you, what we do not want is further capital destruction. Time to wrap this one up.

Bowleven, at my entry average, should have been THE best AIM oiler to achieve capital growth in my porty, instead my large aquisition of Bor at sub 2p more than doubled with no farm in (not long to wait now imo).

Bowleven had a very good hand of cards, now mostly lost. I agree with all of crown ocean's rns and they are entirely correct in alluding to the dilution of responsibility of the board probably due to their dreary redbrick uni, corporate clone origins concurrent to a shared history (Cairn).

Its the recklessness with our funds which is unforgivable, its fairly clear where Crown's strategy is leading therefore a more optimised exit from this pile of racehorse manure should be available.

given the desperate share back i think we can expect further desperate actionlong suffering holders need to realise they are not getting their money back and cut their lossestime for this gravy train to end

I'm torn on this one. Been invested in the company since 2009. Made plenty of profits in the first couple of years but that has been more than offset by the stock I kept hold of and a couple of top ups. If Crown Ocean could extract a return of 40-50p then I think I would be happy to cut my losses and miss out on future opportunity. I am coming to the conclusion that management and time delays in Cameroon will end up extracting all value out of the stock on its current path.

Nevertheless they still need 75% of the votes.

They need 75% of the vote to get it pass. They won't have my vote and neither will they have the majority of the IIs.

They need 10% of total issued share cap, which they have, to force an EGM. They will need 50% of votes cast to get the resolutions through. They will have my vote, if I have not taken profit beforehand.

Looks like it was a well timed punt for me yesterday. How rarely that happens.

Only need 5% of stock to force a meeting I believe.

Don't they need over 30% to request a meeting?

Do they have such power with only 34 million shares?

ihavenoclue - yes the RNS did happen, Crown Ocean are not an AIM listed co. So look under "ALL" and you will see the RNS was issued at 7:00am

Question now is
What is the breakup value of the co?

Surely we are going to hear from Hart today, presumably to tell us this deal is bad for us and why he is the man to lead us to glory.

Did that RNS actually happen ? lol

So basically they want to strip Bowleven and sell it off. As the breakup value of the stock is worth significantly more than the current market cap this can only be seen as a win win at the current share price

a) Returns excess cash holdings to shareholders

b) Creates an alignment of stakeholders in the Etinde project ("Etinde") - Bowleven's most valuable asset

c) Identifies the route to value maximisation from Etinde over time

d) Ceases further spending on the Bomono project ("Bomono") and conducts an independent review of the estimated over $100 million spent on Bomono to date

I think there has been more than a few punts in today's trading , I have had a nibble as well. A long term holder as well I have always thought that a tie up with VOG would make sense.
