Completely agree here. Half empty and get a life are the concepts that come to my mind in all of this.

As opposed to the directors common to Botswana Diamonds and Clontarf / Pet getting their numbers right before posting RNS ?

Except the Bolivians have chosen the Chinese for a $1.3Bn project !

I expect the next great 162 Group project to be something like Platinum mining on a "nearby" asteroid !

In all of this conceptually I have say that the idea of moving into battery materials is not a bad one at all. Ditch all the rest (oil, gas etc) and focus on maganese, nickel, lithium, cobalt etc. With the way the ev market will be required to grow it would be a smart move. Now there's a serious discussion area for investors and management.

Many points being missed, and a shareholder who needs to look in a mirror first; it questions a basis for investment and suggests enjoymentnof being half empty. Most of this does not belong on this group and is best to confront management on rather than shot gun destruction of value. Anyway I need to chill after this round of heavy lifting.

just to put the above in context

one of the 162 Group - "Clontarf Energy plc is an emerging oil & gas Exploration & Production company focused on Africa and South America"

But from their interims

"under the Bolivian Ministry of Energy in 2017, we have re-established our interest, and are in initial discussions on a possible joint venture to study the second largest salt-lake lithium deposit"

So you have say half a dozen guys based in a former house in Dublin running at least 5 companies 4 quoted , supposedly interested in oil , gold , diamonds , zinc etc with failed attempts all over the world - Europe Africa and South America.

Now Clontarf who are supposed to be into oil and gas - claim to be looking into going to Bolivia to extract lithium from a lake....

So when does JT have time to look into what's going on in SA or Zimbabwe or anywhere ?

Where is the lithium expertise - would it be with the people who say they are looking for gold, zinc , diamonds or maybe oil 3000ft under the sea ?

It's a scatter gun approach, try anything and sell a story , maybe one day they will get lucky , or maybe they just spread themselves too thin and nothing ever gets done.

And nothing has got done successfully for a decade.... no sales , no profit , £30m of losses, massive shareholder dilution , loads of directors remuneration.

Different companies, different issues and likely the same shareholders as well as same management. Will also be contributory through a general non understanding of exploration, and the fact that it is not a nifty fifty fast buck quick gain game.

The market marked the share price down yesterday.
Clearly was not taken as good news.

One can liken this to the other 3 businesses in what they call a "group" because they use the same modus operandi.

A decade of falling share prices and new diluting share issues and good "stories" to sell.

Fenners - you clearly did not read the press release. The results are in the table, and demonstrating diamond values in an area adjacent to one where this has alrwady been done already would be a waste of cash. This exercise is about proving volumes, which are key owing to their existence being like 'finding needles in haystacks', which is what diamond mining is! Can I suggest that exit your investment and take negativity elsewhere and leave it to those who take it seriously. It is clearly a business you do not understand, or choose not to. Yesterday's release was good news, which should have had a positive impact.

They are different businesses, different commodities, different jurusdictions though, and ones which I choose not to invest in. I see no reason why the this company and its share price should be contaminated with those and would suggest it more appropriate that these comments be directed to those forums rather than this, common management or not.

Ok had a look at the trades - with such a spread its difficult to tell where the share price should be.

However there are only 6 trades so far.

Largest trade for 500,000 definitely looks like a sell

So someone not the least bit impressed with the news that they have spent months digging holes and no testing of the samples...

Another classic 162 Group line here
"Bulk sampling (mining) on track to commence in Q2 2019 subject to approvals"

SUBJECT to APPROVALS

They have been waiting for Approval of Block 6 Iraq for about 20 years
Waiting for Approval and ratification of a Ghana license for about .. 8 years or so...

Everything is always expected.... will any of it ever arrive ?

The chart says price has gone down, is that the case or has a sell gone through on a wide spread?
