Interesting times indeed, I think we may get an update within two weeks as to where we stand? I believe we are in a very good position and James Campbell is the right man to be in charge of negotiations?

Bottom line is that Maibwe seems to have made a major discovery.

BCL were farmed in to Brightstone (which then changed its name to Maibwe) with 51% of the project on the basis that they would take any discoveries through to BFS. They made a discovery but are now in provisional liquidation for other reasons.

Before the BCL farm-in, BOD were operators of the Brightstone block and owned 51% of the project. BOD's share dropped to 15% when BCL came in. With BCL now bowing out, how much of the project they (BCL) rightly own as an asset must be based on how much they spent etc and will be a matter for negotiation between the liquidator and BOD (and the other JV partners).

Dan Mahupela, BCL group managing director, has told the media that the Maibwe project has a potential in situ value of $1.9 billion.

Thanks MF - I too was fortunate to benefit from having AFD all those years ago and now LUC shares and holding for further good times. Now I have quite a few of these (BOD) and have continued to hold through the considerable upward and downward movements. If I had been braver I might have bought and sold and made money like so many people say they do……lol. Anyway lets hope we find some commercial diamonds then I will be smiling.

a little bod history from a fan. Today 10:06A

great team, luck strikes again!?!
watch this space, bod used to be known as afd, afd went from 8p to circa £1.70 with an asset they proved up on the ak6 area, Dr Teeling and team could not get finance to take it further as we were at the start of the recession and banks were bricking up their walls, Dr T made a deal with a hungry Canadian company Lucara (tse:LUC) and ak6 ended up being swallowed by luc and the rest of the assets spat back out as bod, (luc now calling ak6 'karowe' are extracting the biggest best (TYPE 2) diamonds in the world; the constellation, the lesedi la rona (LLR) and lots more . A lot of us have asked the question 'where would afd be now if the recession was 2 years later ?'
i could go on and on, but i dont want to be the one no one wants to sit next to at a dinner party.
good lucK
