15/10/2016 19:30 | Noble went for the chicken instead of the egg....humpback showed 3-4 times the size of scharnhorst...but they spent big to roll the dice..they may have felt humpback was going to cost more...definitely more then FOGL had for both drills. So they may have went to FOGL board and said save cash. You'll need it to drill the 2nd well at humpback....did they noble know that humpback was such a complicated well that it may cost more.....much more...rest is history Rumblefish | rumblefish
15/10/2016 19:09 | Initially both wells were going to be drilled.....then some where along the line...FOGL came out with and RNS saying something of the effect that they'd like to bank $100 million...and would drill only humpback....noble must have looked at cost...remember they sign that rig at 2014 prices...the option was there for them...Noble that time is as operator (co signed with PMO)...they made the discussion) not FOGL....high risk....different rock play...at that time BOR couldn't find partners....why drill humpback when scharnhorst had all the data pointing to it Rumblefish | rumblefish
15/10/2016 14:57 | Kumo Bull breakout Friday. | blueball
15/10/2016 11:50 | rumblefish There lies the investment opportunity, transfer from impatient to patient etc etc. Of course Scharnhorst was going to be drilled but all of the cash was used up on Humpback, extremely disappointing, some games being played I'm afraid.... | gunsofmarscapone
15/10/2016 02:08 | Guns.... your so right....noble messed up big time should have drilled scharnhorst, instead of humpback....big mistake. Darwin discovery within 30 miles of scharnhorst Darwin approx same rock depth Darwin rock phase the same With all the info unrisking the play, why drill humpback Rumblefish | rumblefish
14/10/2016 21:30 | It's a scandal how much some AIM directors get. BOR's 2 directors have pulled well over £2m in the last 4 years since the discovery and delivered nothing! They should be truly ashamed of themselves. | barvin
14/10/2016 19:46 | Are we millionaires Rodney? | paulmurphy777
14/10/2016 16:03 | Look at those buys coming in this pm. Amazing volume. | blueball
14/10/2016 11:39 | Hopefully something exciting would mean this rockets, just my opinion. DYOR | barvin
14/10/2016 11:25 | Still in auction. Did anyone else spot it over the last several years? Not one insti or hnwi sold (to the best of my knowledge) one single share. Very little free float imo | gunsofmarscapone
14/10/2016 11:24 | Better than that Vic, in auction now; been buying these for well over a year.... Scharnhorst is the key, I would expect that Rkh's review of Southern licences will be a factor...... | gunsofmarscapone
14/10/2016 10:48 | Barvin, I reckon the strength in POO of late is making the difference here. Increased volumes is good to see and if POO stays above $50 I can see this trading above 2-3p in the short term and anywhere between 3-10p in the medium term whilst ongoing discussions are had on a farm in. GLA | vic_frost
14/10/2016 10:31 | I have kept an eye on volumes for ages, very big volume this week. Something could be going on here. | barvin
14/10/2016 10:30 | Strong buy today. | blueball
05/10/2016 17:44 | Very few trades of late here but in the last 10 mins today quite a few buys and sells went through. Should we read anything into this? Nice to see POO around $50 mark | vic_frost
26/9/2016 10:47 | "Borders & Southern Petroleum confident of landing a partner once oil prices rise" investors.co.uk/comp ( ADVFN do not like links to this site so close the space I put between proactive and investors to create a working link ) "Russia Bets On $40 Oil Through 2017" Its these deep water fields that are first to be passed over in an oil price slump. At $100 million for each drill POO is going to have to be very much higher. $40 per barrel costs is not particularly cheap. BOR MAY have its day but I suspect its a long way away. Maybe if POO can stay north of $80 for a while interest may come again. Brent now $46.20 | cyan
26/9/2016 09:45 | Extension of licences to 2020/2022. capex $1.36 billion breakeven oil price $40 per barrel. Like Rockhopper, Borders highly geared to price of oil. | fadilz
26/9/2016 07:32 | Cash , cash equivalents and restricted use cash at the end of the period $12,222 | leedskier
20/9/2016 07:57 | Hold a few shares in this company ,not been here for a while. Does anyone know what happened with the drilling in South Atlantic basin, is it all finished or does it still go on? | mikealaric
15/9/2016 08:12 | No RNS like RKH from the useless management I see. Good news though, positive for BOR. | barvin
04/6/2016 11:52 | Wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend | the monkster
04/6/2016 00:26 | Buy and hold for recovery in oil price. Commercial at $50 using FPSO. | luckyman3
